British BMW GS riders are invited to compete in the UK GS Trophy Qualifier for the three available places in Team GB. The three selected riders will move on to compete in the incredible, once-in-a-lifetime, International Final of the 2014 BMW Motorrad GS Trophy in Canada. The UK GS Trophy Qualifier competitors will get to take part in a whole range of off-road challenges on the range of 2014 BMW adventure-sports bikes, as well as taking part in road-based sections on their own BMW motorcycle.

The UK GS Trophy Qualifier is suitable for riders of all abilities and levels. The open event on Sunday 25th will involve a host of fun and enjoyable on and off-road riding challenges. Practical, teamwork and navigation tests on the stunning roads around the region will also be part of the experience. The open event is designed to be achievable by anyone, regardless of off road riding experience and great bike skills will not be a guarantee of success.

In the evening, a marquee and bar at one of the area’s top pubs will play host to the fun, where the top performers from the day will be selected to continue in the competition on Monday 26th.

At this point the finalists of the UK GS Trophy Qualifier will have to put their skills to the test in front of both the judges and the public, in an exciting, spectator friendly competition, which will end with three lucky riders being named Team GB. The challenges and tests will be devised and judged by veteran Dakar rider and BMW Off Road Skills chief instructor Simon Pavey.

2014 BMW Motorrad GS Trophy International Final – Canada
The three riders selected to represent the nation will go on to compete in the International Final against teams from over a dozen countries in an amazing, 2,000km epic adventure being held in September in Canada. The teams will be pitted against both the incredible landscapes and challenging terrain of North America and the cream of GS riders from around the world.

The amazing, cross country off-road ride will be completed on BMW GS motorcycles, with special trial sections along the way which will require them to dig deep and display the potential they showed at the UK Qualifying Event, and much, much more.
