New SIDI X-3 Off-Road Boots

Pro-level off-road protection in a mid-level price range motocross boot.

Published on 12.17.2015

SIDI recently announced a new high-end off-road boot at a mid-level price point. The new Sidi X-3 is the direct replacement for the Charger boot, but offers even more premium features and comes in five different colors instead of one. The X-3 boot gets the same hinged ankle design and similar levels of protection as the top-of-the-line Crossfire boots, but with more flexibility and less weight that makes them easier to walk in.

The X-3 is not meant to be waterproof. It’s designed for rigorous off-road riding, where maximum protection, breathability and venting are the focus. The new boot features beefy protection in the shin, calf and achilles area, and the anti-skid rubber sole offers excellent brake feel. The boots can be resoled by a shoe cobbler and camlock buckles with micro adjustments are replaceable.

Italian craftsmanship normally doesn’t come cheap, but the new SIDI X-3 boots are well priced at $375.
