New Sena 10C Evo All-In-One Bluetooth Headset & HD Action Cam

Sena upgrades the 10C with improved video quality, video preview and more!

Published on 01.04.2017

Sena introduced the world’s first integrated Bluetooth communication system and HD camera with the original 10C. Now Sena is taking it to another level with the new and improved 10C Evo.

The 10C Evo is a Bluetooth 4.1 communication device with the ability to play music and capture audio and video from your rides with ease, all while communicating with other riders. The new device features a sleek and much lower-profile silhouette than the original 10C. The innovative unibody design makes for easy installation while simplifying the operation of multiple video and photo modes.

The single camera button allows one-touch recording on the fly, while WiFi enables you to easily preview video or share photos and video straight to a phone.

The new 10C Evo also features a QHD camera with improved video capture quality. The original 10C model was able to shoot at a max resolution of 1080P:30fps, while the new 10C Evo shoots at a max resolution of 2k:30fps and can capture 1080P:60fps for high-res slow motion shots. The camera includes settings for still shots, burst, and time-lapse photo modes as well. Additionally, the new device is equipped with WiFi for simple sharing of photos and videos, and to easily preview video through a smartphone using the Sena Camera App.

Sena’s Smart Audio Mix feature perfectly overlays the audio of both voice from the intercom, and the music from your smartphone directly onto the video being shot. This allows you to narrate your footage while it’s happening and capture the authenticity of the moment, while reducing the need for follow-up soundtrack editing.

With Sena’s video tagging feature, you can save storage space by capturing only the best moments of your ride. When tagging is enabled, the camera begins storing 1 minute clips that are continuously overwritten. Just click the camera button when something interesting happens and the previous minute of video will be stored along with the next two minutes of video, giving you three one-minute clips. Video Tagging allows you to capture just the moments when action occurs in smaller clips that take up less storage on your memory card and make editing more manageable.

When activated with a single touch of the camera button, Video Tagging saves 60 seconds of past, present, and future footage to give you three one-minute clips that capture the event and the context in which it happened.

The new 10C Evo gives you the ability to group chat with up to four people with a line-of-site range of 1 mile (1.6 km) between riders. Range can be extended even further when mobile data is available, using Sena’s new RideConnected app. The 10C Evo also includes a built-in FM radio, and you can listen to tunes or turn-by-turn directions from a paired smartphone. Simple set-up and operation of the device can be performed through Sena’s smartphone app, which is available in both the App Store and Google play.

With the 10C Evo, you get a complete solution for in-helmet communication and capturing action videography during your adventures. And a rugged, water-resistant design ensures it can handle the challenging conditions of off-road riding and long-distance adventure touring. The new 10C Evo is currently available for pre-order with a retail price of $399. Sena projects it will arrive in stores around the middle of 2017.

Yeah, but what’s the mounting interface? What, no adaptive mesh tech? That’s a step back.

Hi Simon. Looks like Sena’s target delivery date was a little off. We haven’t heard anything directly from Sena but we’d expect it will be out in the early part of this year.

Considering how Sena removed the 10C Evo from their website, it’s likely that they gave up on this model (at least for now). For the time being I wouldn’t hold my breath for it anymore.

They should connect no problem. Just put them both in intercom pairing mode and they should find each other. Sometimes you have to click the button again on one of them to make the connection while they are searching. If all else fails, Sena’s support should have answers.
