“Off-Road People” Extreme Adventure Tour 2013

A 3,100 mile off-road journey through Siberia and Mongolia

Published on 02.04.2014

Every Adventure Rider dreams of one day traveling to Siberia and Mongolia for an epic Adventure Tour. If you watched the show “Long Way Round,” you have an idea of how difficult traveling can be in this region. After viewing the trails traveled by the “Off-Road People” though, the terrain Ewan and Charley rode will look like child’s play.

The Off-Road People are a group of Russian Adventure riders with a common passion for traveling to remote lands that are inaccessible to most people. The riders travel on a range of bikes that include a Honda XR400R, BMW G650X, Honda XR650L/R, KTM 690 Enduro and KTM 950 Adventure. This group is not afraid to take their heavily loaded bikes where they probably shouldn’t, all in an effort to reach the unique landscapes and cultures of Siberia and Mongolia.

Off-Road People Mongolia 2013

21 Days, 7 Riders and 3,100 miles through Siberia and Mongolia.

This unique group off Adventure Riders have been putting together annual rides since 2005. In this most recent ride, they travel 3,100 miles (5,000 km) on a 21 day tour through Siberia and Mongolia. Their tour takes them through some of the most rugged terrain imaginable, as they struggle to keep their bikes up on rocky paths and log strewn forest roads.  Working together, they get their bikes across fast flowing rivers and cliff lined single track trails. They persevere through falls, mechanical failures and even broken bones to make it to their final destination in Baikal Lake Russia.

Watching the video will definitely get your adrenaline pumping, so it’s better not to view it right before going to bed. The video includes some peaceful scenes as well, as the group travels through the majestic grassy plains of Mongolia. The production quality and music selection are excellent for amateur video.

The Off-Road People are currently sharing their Ride Report, with additional pictures and video, on ADVRider.com. Check out the thread for more exciting details about their trip.
