ADV Pulse is the leading online publication dedicated to Adventure Touring motorcycles with a global website presence and large social media following. We are currently expanding our team of talented content creators and are seeking a qualified candidate for an Associate Editor position. This is a great opportunity for a skilled writer who is passionate about the dual sport/adventure motorcycle segment.

As an Associate Editor, you will be responsible for sourcing and writing daily content, as well as development and execution of your own feature pieces. You’ll also be tasked with managing content on the ADV Pulse website and social media channels. The selected candidate will be driven and creative with a solid foundation in journalism, online publishing and of course dual sport/adventure motorcycling. This is a full-time office position in Los Angeles, California.

• Source and write daily content
• Execute ad-hoc editorial assignments
• Assist with copy editing and fact checking
• Syndicate content across website and social media channels
• Stay informed on relevant current news and events

• 2+ years experience as a writer/editor at a print or digital publication
• BA degree in Journalism, Communications, English or related field
• Highly-proficient English writing/proofreading skills
• Able to write clean, compelling, easy to read, entertaining and factual copy
• Understands how to write copy in a ‘web’ writing style
• Off-road riding experience
• Strong critical thinker with attention to detail
• Good communicator (both written and verbal)
• Able to multi-task and work under pressure of deadlines
• Self-motivated and self-sufficient
• Team player eager to contribute ideas and problem solve
• Holds a valid motorcycle license

Bonus Skills
• Photography/Photo editing
• Video editing and production
• Knowledge and experience with SEO
• Maintains a current Social Media following
• Mechanical or engineering background
• Understanding of basic HTML
