BDR Special ‘Triple Track’ BMW R 1300 GS Up For Grabs!
A special BMW R 1300 GS with over $20,000 worth of premium upgrades.
Adventure motorcycling non-profit Backcountry Discovery Routes (BDR) is back with its annual Motorcycle Giveaway fundraiser sweepstakes. This is a unique opportunity to take home a fully-dialed 2024 BMW R 1300 GS ‘Triple Black’ special edition model with a boatload of custom mods. Armed with a 1300cc boxer twin, plus a revamped suspension and upgraded electronics, the all-new GS is lighter, more compact and more powerful than its predecessor.
Now, the BDR team has made BMW’s flagship machine even better by adding over $20,000 worth of premium upgrades and aftermarket accessories. Designed to tackle the toughest long-distance adventures, this dialed GS has been given the name ‘BDR Triple Track Special Edition’ in celebration of the launch of the South East BDR and the completion of the East Coast BDR trilogy that enables a remarkable 3,500+ mile journey from the Gulf of Mexico to the Canadian border, entirely on the BDR.
The Grand Prize Triple Track R 1300 GS features an incredible list of key upgrades, including Touratech panniers, crash bars and guards, heavy-duty custom Woody’s wheels laced with Motoz Tractionator tires, Black Dog Cycle Works footpegs, skid plate and rear racks, Doubletake unbreakable mirrors, Garmin Zumo XT GPS, plus an extra set of Mosko soft luggage for those more-aggressive off-road adventures, not to mention several other top notch accessories.

$30K for the bike with $20K of added stuff! What actually does one do with a $50K motorbike? OK, some of the “stuff” is not necessarily attached to the bike, but I can’t imagine myself throwing it down some BDR two-track.
I’d sell it immediately. The motorcycle is all but useless. It’ll look great sitting at a coffee with all the so-called adv riders
