New Online TV Series Launches – Adventure Bike TV

Adventure Riders now have their own "Top Gear" style TV show to watch.

Published on 06.04.2014

A new web based TV Series, dedicated to Adventure Touring motorcycles, launched earlier this week. The UK based “Adventure Bike TV” show includes news, reviews, interviews and trips from around the world. New episodes will be launched monthly.

Adventure Bike TV is not your typical YouTube video series about Adventure Riding. The show is skillfully produced and has a true television look and feel. Host Graham Hoskins has a background in television, having recently produced a motorcycle travel series that aired on British Television called “Motorbike Diaries.”

Testing the CCM GP450 Off-Road

Adventure Bike TV gives the CCM GP450 a thorough off-road test in their 1st episode.

Adventure Bike TV follows a format similar to the popular Automotive TV Series “Top Gear” (They even make a few jokes about copying the show). While it may not be Top Gear quality yet, their first episode is both informative and entertaining for an adventure riding audience.

Episode one includes a thorough test of the CCM GP450 on some rugged off-road trails, allowing you to really see how well the suspension works. The bike is timed going around a motocross track using a professional rider. Track times will be used to compare other bikes on the same course in future episodes (sound familiar?).

The first episode also takes viewers on a tour of the BMF Motorcycle Show in England. An excellent interview with adventure travel author Sam Manicom reveals some interesting insights about riding around the world. Also included is a story about a couple that spent 27 days on a container ship traveling with their bikes from Europe to South America. The episode concludes with Graham pitting his Triumph Tiger motorcycle against a Tiger Moth airplane in a race around an airport.

The content has a general audience appeal that doesn’t require you to be a hardcore adventure rider to appreciate it. Adventure Bike TV is definitely worth a watch. Future plans for the show include bringing in a second presenter and reviews of classic Adventure Bike models.

Adventure Bike TV Episode 1

We think Adventure Bike TV has done a stand-up job producing their first episode. We look forward to more episodes to come in the future. To watch more Adventure Bike TV, go to their website.
