The story of this incredible rally begins long ago in the heart of Indiana, where two intrepid motorcyclists, Cameron York and Michael Waterford, crossed paths. They didn’t just share a love for motorcycles—they embodied the soul of adventure itself. Together, they helped forge a community of fearless riders who pushed the limits of possibility, united by their mutual love for the open road.

Together, Cameron and Michael ride with the Knarps, a group of riders from all walks of life and on all kinds of bikes—mopeds, dirt bikes, cruisers, sidecars, and everything in between. Over the years, the Knarps honed their skills, exploring ever-greater distances and conquering new challenges. The call of adventure grew louder, and the time came to create something extraordinary—a rally that would embody their passion for riding and exploration.

Nestled on the banks of the Ohio River in the heart of the Shawnee National Forest, the Hogrock Adventure Rally is a multi-day celebration of dual-sport and ADV riding. The 2026 edition brings together riders from across the country for routes through southern Illinois river country, western Kentucky, and southern Indiana — a landscape packed with gravel, forest trails, and rolling pavement.
