Ride some of the best ADV touring destinations in Italy, Iceland and the U.S.

Published on 02.13.2026

Ducati is expanding its curated travel program for 2026 with a new slate of four adventure riding experiences under the “Expedition Masters” banner. From a rugged expedition among Iceland’s volcanoes, glaciers and black deserts to a multi-State journey in North America to Yellowstone, Ducati says they want to deliver immersive adventures at the high level of detail the company is known for..

The four different experiences offered use Ducati’s Multistrada lineup and the DesertX as the designated models for each route. Each journey includes pre‑planned itineraries, professional guides, technical support, and high‑end lodging. The format resembles other premium, manufacturer‑backed travel programs—BMW’s Motorrad Tours, for example—where the emphasis is on top-level logistics, safety oversight, and brand immersion.

The journeys also include accommodations in high-end facilities and experiences dedicated to discovering the local culture and traditions of the regions visited. Completing the offering are dedicated technical assistance and a professional photo and video service. Ducati’s partnership with Dainese also means participants are issued Dainese apparel and AGV touring helmets for the duration of the trip.

Below is a breakdown of the four experiences Ducati has announced for 2026.

Italy: A Grand‑Tour‑Style Route for Ducati’s 100th Anniversary

The first itinerary is built around Ducati’s 100th anniversary and begins at World Ducati Week in Misano. From there, participants will ride through extraordinary cities and locations: Venice, suspended between water and culture; Cortina d’Ampezzo, the Pearl of the Dolomites; the Alps and legendary mountain passes such as Pordoi and Stelvio; Lake Garda, Verona and Mantua, before returning to the Ducati Museum in Borgo Panigale.

The framing echoes the 19th‑century “Grand Tour” concept—extended travel through Italy’s cultural centers—but the structure is modern: fixed lodging, daily stages, and full support. Riders can expect a mix of mountain passes, historic city centers, and tourist corridors rather than remote or technical terrain.

Dates: July 6–13
Distance: ~1,800 km
Bikes: Multistrada V4 S, Multistrada V2 S, Multistrada V4 Rally

Iceland: DesertX‑Focused Off‑Road Training and Exploration

The Iceland program is the most off‑road‑oriented of the four. Ducati describes it as a mix of gravel, volcanic terrain, and remote interior tracks, with instructors providing skills sessions along the way. The company notes that riders need prior off‑road experience, which suggests the route includes sections beyond basic gravel touring.

Terrain highlights include active volcanic zones, glaciers, black‑sand deserts, and river‑cut interior tracks—typical of Iceland’s F‑roads. Ducati will supply DesertX units equipped with Pirelli Scorpion Rally or Trail II tires, depending on conditions.

Dates: July 18–24, July 25–31, August 2–8
Distance: ~1,500 km
Bike: DesertX

United States: San Francisco to Yellowstone and Back

The North American route is a long‑distance, mostly‑paved loop beginning and ending in San Francisco. The itinerary crosses Sequoia, Yosemite, and Yellowstone National Parks before continuing through Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, and Oregon. The return leg follows Highway 1 back to the Golden Gate Bridge.

This is the most mileage‑heavy of the announced trips and leans toward classic U.S. touring rather than technical riding.

Dates: September
Distance: ~4,800 km
Bikes: Multistrada range

Southern Italy: From the Apennines to the Amalfi Coast

The final itinerary returns to Italy, starting at the Ducati Museum and heading south via the Futa and Raticosa passes—roads closely tied to Ducati’s development testing. The route continues through Florence and Siena, cradles of art and tradition, and then reaches Rome, before continuing along the spectacular curves and iconic vistas of the Amalfi Coast.

This trip mirrors the northern Italy tour in format: cultural stops, well‑known scenic roads, and a focus on paved riding rather than off‑road exploration.

Dates: October 10–17
Distance: ~1,800 km
Bikes: Multistrada range
