KLIM Debuts Next-Gen “Baja S4” Hot Weather Mesh Adventure Gear
Max cooling and road-ready protection, without the bulk.

KLIM has released their redesigned Baja S4 mesh adventure gear aimed at addressing the challenges of hot-weather motorcycle travel. Now in its second generation, the new Baja S4 Jacket, Pants, and Gloves are engineered to provide massive cooling airflow with road-ready protection features – all while offering the mobility and low bulk needed for riding adventure bikes off-road.

With airflow as priority, KLIM constructed the jacket and pants using a single layer of Schoeller-Dynatec nylon mesh across most body panels, paired with a moisture-wicking liner to maintain airflow while managing perspiration. To further maintain ventilation and comfort, the Baja S4 Jacket and Pants are loaded with Karbonite Micromesh 1000-denier stretch-woven nylon panels, which adds airflow and all-important mobility.

For hydration, the jacket offers a 2-liter Hydrapak compatible pocket with hose routing options over the shoulder or under the arm. KLIM also emphasizes they kept virtually all stash pockets in the lower half of the jacket in order to avoid obstructing airflow to areas like the chest, neck and armpits. Riders will find multiple storage options, including a forearm ID pocket and a concealed document pocket behind the back protector.
For road-protection, KLIM reinforces the Baja Jacket and Pants using ceramic-plated Superfabric in key abrasion areas. Overall protection is provided by D3O Level 1 vented pads inserted at standard locations, including shoulders, elbows, knees, hips and back.

While not waterproof, weather adaptability remains central to KLIM’s modular design approach. The Baja S4 line is still compatible with the stretchy and waterproof Enduro S4 overshell, designed to layer over the mesh kit without size adjustments—meaning if you wear a large Baja S4 jacket, you’ll likely wear a large Enduro S4 on top as well. KLIM also states that Riders can expect the overshell to serve double duty, functioning as a rain barrier while riding and a camp layer afterward.

The gear’s liner includes moisture-wicking and antimicrobial properties, helping riders stay dry and odor-free during long rides. To keep things comfortable, the short collar can be moved back and set in place to increase airflow to the upper chest, plus forearm and calf straps allow for quick-fit adjustments.
KLIM’s new Baja S4 lineup is currently available with an MSRP starting at $599.99 for the jacket, $519.99 for the pants and $89.99 for the gloves.

Why use ceramic on high-impact areas? Ceramic should be used on abrasion areas.
Hey Jay, thanks for the comment! This has been clarified to avoid any confusion.
