ADV NewsKTM Announces Special-Edition 500 EXC-F 6Days Model for 2026

KTM Announces Special-Edition 500 EXC-F 6Days Model for 2026

The premium street-legal enduro from Austria gets refreshed for the new year.

Published on 09.03.2025

It’s that time of year again when KTM North America announces the new higher-spec 6Days Special Edition of the 500 EXC-F dual sport. The upgraded model sets itself apart with an extended list of top-of-the-line components and for the new year, it also comes back with a handful of key changes shared across the refreshed EXC-F standard lineup.

For 2026 the 48 mm WP XACT Closed Cartridge spring fork receives new damping settings and new, lighter, shorter springs, as well as a reworked pressure reservoir that has been adapted with revised geometry of the spring support. A new one-piece hydro stop rounds out the front fork overhaul which KTM says results in an overall weight-saving of 200 grams.

Out back, the WP XPLOR PDS also benefits from the same attention to setup and optimization as the fork with new settings for the new year. Maintenance is made easy with no external moving parts to worry about.

The new model also receives a redesigned fuel tank shape, which KTM says maximizes fuel consumption. To improve durability, a protection cap has been added to the CPC fuel connector which not only provides an extra layer against damage but is also another seal to prevent the intrusion of dirt and water. The cooling system has also been updated with a new threaded radiator cap design for easier and faster opening while revised radiator shrouds optimize airflow to help with cooling.

Italian territory for the 6Days is celebrated with a dedicated livery in blue, white, green and red colors across the bodywork, front mask, forkguards, seat (shaded blue but with factory grippy fabric) and swingarm. The unique profile is also recognizable thanks to the orange found on the glossy frame, CNC machined triple clamps, front axle puller, chain guide, frame protectors and Supersprox stealth rear sprocket. 6DAYS branding can also be seen on the handlebars (with a specific bend), silencer and rims.
