Metzeler Expands Adventure Tire Lineup With New Karoo 4 ‘Street’
A 70/30 ADV Tire for casual dirt riders seeking road performance and longevity.

Metzeler has officially pulled the wraps off its latest addition to the adventure tire lineup at EICMA 2025: the Karoo 4 Street. Designed for riders who spend most of their time on pavement but still want the freedom to explore unpaved routes, this new tire slots neatly between the 50/50 Karoo 4 and the more road-oriented Tourance.

The Karoo 4 Street is a direct evolution of the original Karoo Street, now enhanced with new profiles for improved handling, a multi-pitch knob design for quieter rolling, more uniform wear and better traction on soft terrain. According to the brand, this new rubber is built for larger ADV machines, offering a 70% road / 30% off-road balance tuned for riders who prioritize road performance but still want to keep dirt roads in play.

Meanwhile, the Tourance remains Metzeler’s choice for riders who demand high mileage, wet grip, and comfort on long paved journeys, with a more conventional tread and compound optimized for road touring.
Karoo 4 Street Highlights:
- 70% road / 30% off-road performance balance
- New profiles for improved asphalt handling and wear uniformity
- Multi-pitch knob layout for reduced noise and smoother rolling
- Enhanced off-road traction on soft terrain
- Knobby aesthetics with modern road manners
- Designed for high-end ADV bikes and maxi-enduros

Metzeler’s launch at EICMA also included the Sportec 01 and Sportec 01 RS, but for the ADV crowd, the Karoo 4 Street is the brand’s headline act. It’s built to meet the growing demand for tires that can handle spirited road riding, wet weather, and occasional off-road excursions—all while maintaining the high mileage that long-range adventure riders demand.
Available Sizes:
- 170/60 R 17 M/C 72V TL (Rear)

With the Karoo 4 Street, Metzeler continues to refine its adventure tire portfolio. The new rubber is expected to hit dealerships in early 2026, just in time for riders planning spring escapes.
