The all-new 390 Adventure R arrives as a ground‑up overhaul, bringing rally‑inspired bodywork, a new steel trellis frame, spoked 21/18 wheels, and 9 inches of suspension travel front and rear. Ground clearance rises by 2.4 inches while seat height increases only half an inch, keeping the bike approachable yet far more capable in the dirt.

Power comes from KTM’s stroked 399cc LC4c single‑cylinder engine, producing 44 horsepower and 29 ft‑lbs of torque. While peak output remains similar to the outgoing model, the revised mill delivers stronger mid‑range punch, making highway cruising and off‑road climbs more manageable. At 388 pounds wet and priced at $6,999, the 390 Adventure R positions itself as KTM’s gateway ADV machine. A slipper clutch, ride‑by‑wire throttle, lean‑sensitive ABS and traction control, selectable ride modes,a crisp 5‑inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and optional quickshifter add refinement to the package.
