Zero Launches Limited-Edition DSR Model to Mark 15th Anniversary

A collaboration with the National Forest Foundation in honor of Earth Day.

Published on 04.22.2021

To celebrate 15 years of making electric bikes, Zero Motorcycles has teamed up with the National Forest Foundation to launch a limited-edition DSR. The special model commemorates Earth Day with 5 new nature-inspired colors: white (snow), grey (mojave), volcano (black), orange and green (forest). In addition, $500 from each limited-edition model sold will be given directly to the National Forest Foundation.

Although Zero doesn’t give the exact number of 15th anniversary models available, the company says only limited quantities will be sold starting today. Like the standard DSR, the special edition models are powered by the Z-Force 75-7 motor capable of 116 ft-lb of torque, 70 hp, a top speed of 102 mph, and up to 163 miles of range per charge.

Zero pitches the DSR as their top dual sport model, designed “for riders to experience the world around them.” The platform is also used for the “Black Forest” model — the company’s adventure bike version of the DSR.

“Our bikes are an incredible way to experience off-road riding, including in America’s National Forests, and we stand with the National Forest Foundation in their mission to guarantee access to those lands for future generations,” said Sam Paschel, Zero Motorcycles CEO.

The proceeds of the donations from these limited edition DSR units will be divided between National Forest Foundation projects that improve, restore, and make ecologically sustainable trail systems for Powersports enthusiasts across the country.

“We are excited and grateful to partner with Zero Motorcycles on projects to improve outdoor experiences and restore our National Forests. Our public lands are amazing places to explore and recreate and we appreciate a commitment to help us steward them from an innovative company like Zero,” Said Dayle Wallien, Conservation Partnerships Director for the National Forest Foundation.

Electric motorcycles and cars are “VACUUM CLEANERS” of the motorcycle and automotive world because – – – – – they – – – – – SUCK! The reason most of us ride is to experience the SOUNDS, FEELS and SMELLS of the beast between our legs.If I can’t hear the magnificent sound of an internal combustion engine and feel the vibrations or enjoy the odiferous emanations from the burning of race gasoline, I will have NO reason to ride anymore! That will be a sad day for sure.

No worries somebody will come with a App that can be Sync’d to Bluetooth that will give the rider the vibration, sounds of your internal combustion ride of choice. LoL
The attitude of change isn’t much different to when the Latex Condom was developed hahaha and was backed up with the little blue pill !
Can’t agree more on the vacuum analogy
