KTM Announces Limited-Edition 500 EXC-F Six Days Model for 2022
The orange brand's big dual-sport machine gets the Six Days treatment.
It’s that time of year again when KTM announces the new higher-spec Six Days Special Edition of the 500 EXC-F. Produced in limited numbers, the upgraded model is a celebration of the brand’s decades of success at the FIM International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) and features race-inspired parts specially designed by KTM’s own research and development department.
For 2022 the Special Edition machine gets all the upgrades the standard model received this year, including an enhanced chassis with firmer settings on the WP XPLOR forks and rear shock to improve its high-speed performance. The Six Day models build on that and add an upgraded braking system with more reliable stopping power. This is delivered through a floating front brake disc and solid rear disc designed to minimize brake fade and allow for harder braking, more of the time. For additional strength and reliability, the rear brake pedal is secured with safety wire.
Other performance parts on the Special edition version include high-end orange anodized CNC machined triple clamps. These have an offset of 22 mm, designed to deliver optimal fork clamping and provide more precise feedback through the handlebar. KTM has also injected more convenience and select protection pieces into the Six Days model with additional touches such as a front axle puller for easier wheel changes as well as a skid plate and chain guide for improved impact resistance out on the trail.
Honoring its ISDE credentials KTM completes the package with Six Days graphics, along with an orange frame and dedicated logos on the exhaust, rims and handlebar. The special version also gets a softer, grippier seat finished in a bold blue and orange colorway.
The 2022 KTM 500 EXC-F Six Days will arrive later this August, 2021 at authorized KTM dealers. No pricing has been announced yet.
