The Exclusive 2027 KTM 890 Adventure R Rally Model Breaks Cover
KTM’s race-bred ADV machine will be released in limited numbers globally.
After a short hiatus in the U.S., KTM has decided to bring back the 890 Adventure R Rally — a limited‑production model built around the company’s rally‑race development program. The bike represents the most off‑road‑focused version of the 890 platform and incorporates several components derived directly from KTM’s competition machines.
One of the biggest distinctions from the standard 890 Adventure R is the suspension. A high-spec WP XPLOR PRO 7548 fork system using Cone Valve technology works in harmony with a WP XPLOR PRO 6746 shock absorber delivering a class-leading 10.6 inches (270 mm) of travel. With its factory-level racing technology, this fully-adjustable suspension offers exceptional damping and bump absorption for aggressive off-road riding.

To handle the harshest terrain, the KTM 890 Adventure R Rally boasts heavy-duty wheels with 2.15 x 21″ and 4.00 x 18″ Excel rims, a race-specific Rally seat, a high front fender and Factory Racing footpegs for increased feeling and grip on long liaisons. Enhanced protection is delivered by carbon tank guards which combine with further protection for the engine, rear master cylinder and suspension. An eye-catching Supersprox-Stealth rear sprocket is rally-derived and comes standard.

Like the KTM 890 Adventure R model, the limited-edition Rally features an 889cc powerplant pumping out 104 horsepower and 73.76 ft-lbs of torque. To shed some pounds the Rally model is equipped with the lightweight Akrapovič Slip-on Line exhaust system that is 35% lighter than standard, similar to that used by KTM’s factory racing teams.

To complete the package, the limited-edition model is equipped with advanced electronics that further extend the bike’s rally focus such as Offroad ABS, multiple ride modes, including Rally Mode, plus Traction Control, and Motor Slip Regulation. Quickshifter+ and Cruise Control also come standard. Riders can fine-tune these settings on the fly using the 5″ TFT display equipped with a Connectivity Unit and TURN-BY-TURN+ navigation.
The 2027 machine also comes with KTM’s Premium Manufacturer’s Warranty giving owners up to 4 years of coverage. To keep the warranty extension valid, KTM does state that regular servicing must be carried out according to the service plan.

As far as availability, the bike is expected to roll off the Austrian production line and onto KTM dealership floors Spring of 2026. Price for the new 890 Adventure R Rally has been announced at $22,649 USD (excluding fees). And if you are eager to own this limited-edition machine, you might want to act fast — in previous years, the model has sold out within less than 48 hours of opening pre-orders.
