KTM & Husqvarna Offer Free Warranty Extension On ‘24 Street Models

The standard warranty can be doubled on certain models.

Published on 03.28.2024

KTM and Husqvarna are offering owners of all 2024 LC8 and LC8c adventure and other street motorcycles the chance to extend their factory warranty for free to one or two more years depending on the model. To extend the standard warranty, riders around the globe simply have to get their motorcycle serviced at an authorized KTM/Husqvarna dealer.

The warranty period is automatically extended, provided regular services are done according to the service schedule at an authorized dealer. Additionally, the warranty for KTM/Husqvarna Technical accessories and Spare Parts installed by your dealer at the time of purchase will be extended to 24 months for all street models. Below are the model-specific details from Husqvarna and KTM:

KTM and Husqvarna offer free warranty extension on 2024 Adventure and street models

KTM 2024 bikes with the LC8c and the LC8 engine specs currently fall under a 24-month warranty window for non-“R” models including the 790 Duke, 790 Adventure, 890 SMT and the new 990 DUKE. As for Husqvarna, all three models participating in this promotion (Norden 901, Norden 901 Expedition and Svartpilen 801) also carry a 24-month standard warranty period. For all of these motorcycles, customers that have official services performed within the two-year warranty period can extend the protection until the next service, up to a maximum of 4 years.

For 2024 KTM “R” models 890 Adventure R and 890 Adventure R Rally the standard warranty window is 12 months. Owners of these machines double their warranty period to another year of coverage when a scheduled service is performed, for a maximum of 2 years from the initial take-into-use date.

As for the KTM LC8 non-“R” range (KTM 1290 Super Duke GT, KTM 1290 Super Adventure S) the warranty can increase from 24 months to a maximum of 3 years. The LC8 “R” model range (KTM 1390 Super Duke R EVO, KTM 1290 Super Adventure R) can extend from 12 months to an additional 12 months for a maximum of 2 years.

Additionally, both KTM and Husqvarna manufacturer warranties are linked to the motorcycle and can be transferred to a new owner should the original owner sell their bike. This is conditional on the next owner being registered on the manufacturer’s official dealer platform, which can be done at any KTM/Husqvarna dealer.

For more information and specific questions, KTM and Husqvarna recommend owners call or visit any of their authorized dealers.

4 years haha? You don’t need it imo. I’ve had my 1190R for 10 years. All the warranty issues surfaced in the first year (or less) and I saved many $1000’s doing my own precision services since… Same ditto with my partner’s 790.

Got a buddy facing down a $6k bill on an 890 for bad Cam Chain Followers/Tensioners if KTM doesn’t cover it. Doing a search online, it’s a problem that’s been surfacing since the 790 Duke, found in even current 890 models. Buy the extended, extended warranty! LOL. Great bike if you get lucky.

I brought this up to my dealer. He had no knowledge of it. I had my bike serviced, but did not receive a “Service Printout” that had anything on it about the new warranty extension. I don’t think the dealers have been notified that this exists.
