GIVI Unveils Hard Cases With Expandable Capacity When Needed
These versatile new cases let riders dial in capacity without swapping luggage.
GIVI has announced a new hard case called XSpace, built around the company’s Monokey mounting standard and designed to function as either a side case or a top case. Its key feature is an expandable design that allows riders to increase capacity without the need to unload its contents.
Equipped with an internal elastic net and a water-resistant protective lining, the case uses a patented mechanical system that allows it to expand telescopically. By operating two external handles, the internal volume can be adjusted from 27 liters to 36 liters, a 33% increase in capacity.

According to GIVI, the new case was built to stay compact for everyday use and to provide additional space only when needed. It is described as water‑resistant, intended to protect contents from rain and road spray during normal riding conditions.

The expansion system is designed to preserve the XSpace’s stability and fitment on the motorcycle, regardless of whether it is mounted on the side or the top. Integrated handles allow easy carrying plus the case is compatible with Monokey racks, so it can be mounted in place of other Monokey luggage without additional dedicated hardware.

GIVI will be displaying their new XSpace lineup at the 2026 BMW MOA Rally in Essex Junction, Vermont this June for those who would like to see it in person. The cases are available in silver and black or solid black with pricing set at $517.50 and $445.50 respectively. Check out the GIVI website for more details.
