LiveWire Announces Arrival Of S4 Honcho Street & Trail E-Mini Motos

Harley-Davidson's new mini-motos with swappable batteries hit dealers this summer.

Published on 06.25.2026

LiveWire has announced that production is officially underway for its all‑new S4 Honcho platform, a pair of lightweight electric mini‑moto models aimed at expanding the company’s global reach. First shown as concepts at Harley‑Davidson Homecoming and later at EICMA, the Honcho Trail and Honcho Street represent LiveWire’s move into more accessible, 125cc‑equivalent electric motorcycles designed for urban mobility and outdoor exploration.

According to the company, the first units are already rolling off the line, with availability at LiveWire retailers expected to begin this summer and continue expanding through 2026. Both models are built around a compact chassis weighing roughly 250 pounds with dual removable, swappable batteries offering up to 53 miles at variable speeds or 73 miles at a steady 20 mph. Charging from 20–80% takes about two hours on a standard 110V outlet, and the batteries can be removed for off‑bike charging — a practical advantage for apartment dwellers and travelers.

Performance is modest but targeted: a 59‑mph top speed and 0–30 mph in about three seconds, making the Honcho suitable for urban mobility, campground exploring, and short‑range commuting. Both versions use 12‑inch cast wheels and include reverse functionality. The Trail model features a 32‑inch seat height, while the Street sits at 31 inches, with styling and ergonomics tailored to their intended environments. The difference in seat height appears to be from a taller suspension and tires but the company has not provided spec numbers so far.

The company emphasizes that the new mini moto models aim to make electric riding more approachable: “The S4 Honcho platform brings the core advantages of electric propulsion into a compact, versatile package for new riders, commuters, and adventure‑minded consumers.” Designed with accessibility in mind, “Honcho targets new riders, commuters, RV travelers, and adventure‑minded consumers,” adds Livewire.

The brand says the platform is being produced in partnership with KYMCO, leveraging the Taiwanese manufacturer’s global production capabilities while continuing to use Harley‑Davidson’s established dealer network for distribution. The collaboration is part of LiveWire’s broader strategy to scale its electric offerings and reach new riders worldwide.
