New 2017 BMW R1200GS Adventure “Triple Black” Special Model

Special edition Triple Black R1200GS Adventure coming to BMW dealers soon.

The “Triple Black” special version of the BMW R1200GS has established its own tradition and the name once again says it all. BMW Motorrad is responding to a wish expressed by many customers by bringing out a special model of the 2017 GS Adventure in a virtually all-black finish.

2017 BMW R1200GS Adventure Triple Black

The central fuel tank cover, storage compartment lid and front mudguard in Blackstorm metallic together with fuel tank side panels in Dark Slate metallic give the R1200GS Adventure a strikingly masculine look. Powerful technical accentuations are provided by the front and rear frame in Agate Grey in combination with the black engine, gearbox and swinging arm.

A new black seat with GS embossment on the passenger section rounds off the striking appearance of the new 2017 BMW R1200GS Triple Black. The price of the new BMW R1200GS Adventure Triple Black in Germany is EUR 16,830.- incl. 19% VAT (RRP). No US pricing has been provided at this time.

Additional changes and tweaks

 
New features for the 2017 R1200GS Adventure model also include a revised selector drum actuator, transmission shafts and transmission shaft bearing. An OBD indicator lamp in the cockpit has been added to meet EU4 requirements. In addition, the instrument panel features a revised design.

As of model year 2017, the color Ocean Blue metallic matte is no longer available for the R1200GS Adventure.

Some dealers won’t even stock the “red” model as it is less desirable and there is much less demand for them.

Yet the red is still a color choice for 2017 along with the Triple black and Alpine White.
