Touratech Test Rides the New Multistrada 1200 Enduro

Touratech's CEO shares his views on the new Multi after an exclusive test ride.

Published on 01.28.2016

Touratech founder and CEO Herbert Schwarz is a seasoned adventure traveler with decades of experience riding motorcycles to the far corners of the world. He is also one of the luckiest guys on Earth because when top manufacturers come out with a new Adventure Bike, he’s one of the first outsiders to get a test ride so that his company can outfit it with Touratech accessories.

In “The Wild Side of Ducati – Episode 3,” Herbert gives his first impressions on the exciting new Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro after riding a pre-production model through Croatia, Montenegro and Albania. In Croatia, the Touratech Chief rides 1,500 miles (2,500 km) of rugged terrain that includes dirt roads, river crossings and rocky trails. On another exclusive test ride, he travels 800 miles (1,300 km) through the Alps in a single day from Germany to Italy.

After thousands of miles logged riding the Multistrada 1200 Enduro over varied terrain, Mr. Schwartz shares his opinion on how the new adventure bike performs both on and off-road, how it handles rough terrain fully loaded and the effectiveness of the electronics package. From the look of the big smile on his face at the end, it appears he was not disappointed!

Rob’s never-ending quest to discover what’s around the next bend has taken him on Adventures in Latin America, Africa, Europe, Asia, and throughout the American West. As a moto journalist, he enjoys inspiring others to seek adventure across horizons both near and far.
