NMOHVA Sipapu Shindig – May 30-Jun.1, 2014
3 great days of riding in the beautiful Carson National Forest.

NMOHVA (New Mexico Off-Highway Vehicle Alliance) is hosting the 2nd Annual Sipapu Shindig on May 30th through June 1st. The NMOHVA Sipapu Shindig will be based at the beautiful Sipapu Ski and Summer Resort located just east of Penasco, NM. All three days will feature a variety of dual sport, single-track, and road riding opportunities through the mountains of New Mexico. All riding is strictly “no fee” and at the event participant’s discretion. Maps of suggested routes will be provided and it is anticipated to have plenty of people who would be willing to let others follow them as they explore the beautiful and varied scenery around Sipapu, Taos, Angel Fire and surrounding areas.
Here’s a taste of what you can expect during this event: 3 great days of dual-sport motorcycle riding in the beautiful Carson National Forest near Taos, New Mexico. Great road riding opportunities including the Enchanted Circle and the High Road to Taos, and the road from Mora to Angel Fire up through Coyote Canyon which is quite a treat! Registration for the NMOHVA Sipapu Shindig includes a dinner Saturday night, an event T-shirt, sticker, and a chance at raffle prizes.
The NMOHVA Sipapu Shindig is a fund-raising event. All funds above event costs will go directly to NMOHVA’s Access Defense Fund. The Access Defense Fund is used to protect and preserve motorized recreation and access in New Mexico. All road riding during this event requires a legal, plated bike. Trails system riding requires a valid NM OHV sticker or sticker from a reciprocal state.
