The Great Australian Ride – Aug. 6-27, 2016

An epic ride to raise funds and awareness for SIDS and Kids.

Published on 06.05.2016

The Great Australian Ride is a charity ride going on its 6th year. Its successful run over the years, raising awareness for SIDS and kids, has turned it into a national and international charity event. This year the adventure will begin on Saturday 6th August 2016. The designated Team of 12 riders, known as Team GAR will set off from Australia’s most easterly point, Byron Bay in New South Wales. Travelling through the heart of the country, they will cross over The Strzelecki Desert, Sturt Stony desert, Simpson and Gibson Desert to reach the ultimate end goal, Steep Point, Australia’s most western point.

The Great Australian Ride is one hell of an epic Adventure! 7500km over 21 days. It will test you and your machine. Riding through such Australian iconic towns as Birdsville and Alice Springs, you will also be spending time at Uluru, Kings Canyon and The Olgas. It’s a great and worthy cause, dedicated to saving the lives of babies and children from pregnancy through childhood.
