Alpinestars has expanded its off‑road boot lineup for 2027 with the introduction of the Tech 7 Enduro Gore‑Tex, a fully waterproof, breathable, all‑weather version of its popular Tech 7 Enduro platform. Building on the success of the standard Tech 7 Enduro and Tech 7 Enduro Drystar models, the new Gore‑Tex variant becomes the premium waterproof option in the family, offering riders a higher level of weather protection aimed at tackling wet, technical terrain and long days on the pegs.

Within the Tech 7 line the Enduro version adds a dedicated grippy sole designed for loose terrain and technical sections, along with improved traction when hiking off the bike. This new Gore‑Tex variant builds on that foundation with a premium waterproof membrane designed to keep out rain and water from creek crossing, while at the same time allowing perspiration to escape. 

While Alpinestars hasn’t outlined any specific changes to the gaiter or sealing system compared to the Drystar version, the Gore‑Tex material does offer a higher level of waterproofing and breathability. 

Core Features

Like the latest Tech 7 Enduro and Drystar models, the Gore‑Tex version uses Alpinestars’ dual‑compound Enduro sole, seamlessly integrated into a multi‑density foot base for durability and precise bike feel. Horizontal ribbing at the toe improves traction on slick surfaces, while a built‑in wear‑limit indicator reveals a red layer when it’s time to replace the sole. A Kevlar layer beneath helps maintain structural integrity as the outer sole wears, and the updated profile features a flatter side‑to‑side shape with more aggressive grip “spikes” for improved bite in mud and loose terrain.

Moving upward, the TPU lower shell incorporates dedicated left‑ and right‑foot shaping with an optimized shifter zone to reduce front roll and improve shift‑lever control. A metal shank reinforces under‑foot stability, and the toe box uses extra‑hard TPU compounds for added impact protection.

For mobility and control, a medial and lateral dual‑pivot system provides smooth, controlled flexion during weight shifts — especially helpful in technical terrain. The low‑profile pivot design supports natural movement while maintaining robust ankle protection. Flex and comfort are further supported by shock‑absorbing inserts in the front bellow, delivering progressive resistance during flexion to help reduce harsh impacts. Additional padding around the ankles and shin plate enhances comfort and energy absorption during long days on the bike.

On the inside of the boot, an extended TPU medial panel incorporates an enlarged rubber insert for maximum bike contact and improved heat and abrasion resistance. The dedicated medial sidewall design adds even more feel, support, and durability.

Rounding out the construction, the closure system uses polymer buckles mounted on a high‑impact aluminum frame with self‑aligning, quick‑release mechanisms. Strap holders are designed to prevent rotation, ensuring a secure fit even in muddy conditions. The Tech 7 line also uses the slimmer aluminum buckles sourced from the Tech 10, offering a more precise fit and improved durability.
