A 2,700 km journey through 7 countries on Big Red's Africa Twin.

Published on 05.08.2026

Honda is bringing its flagship adventure‑touring experience to a wider audience with the release of a new 48‑minute feature‑length documentary covering the 2025 Rome–Istanbul edition of Honda Adventure Roads. The film is now available worldwide on Apple TV and Amazon Prime, marking the first time Honda has distributed an Adventure Roads story through major streaming platforms.

The documentary follows 30 riders as they cover 2,500 km across Italy, Montenegro, Albania, and the Balkans, all aboard the CRF1100L Africa Twin. While the route itself delivers a mix of sun‑baked coastal pavement, dense forest tracks, and demanding gravel climbs, the film focuses less on the technical challenge and more on the camaraderie that develops among participants from 19 different nationalities.

Honda positions Adventure Roads as a fully supported environment where customers can push their limits with professional guidance. The documentary highlights instruction and on‑trail coaching from HRC Dakar riders Adrien Van Beveren and Pablo Quintanilla, brand ambassador Kirian Mirabet, and motocross legend Dave Thorpe — all of whom appear in the film. Their presence reinforces Honda’s emphasis on skill‑building and rider confidence throughout the journey.

Beyond showcasing the landscapes and challenges of the Balkans, the film underscores Honda’s broader message: that adventure motorcycling is as much about human connection as it is about the terrain. Riders are shown navigating obstacles, celebrating small victories, and forming what Honda describes as a “family” forged through long days on the trail.

The documentary also serves as a lead‑in to the next chapter of the program. For 2026, Honda Adventure Roads transitions to the XL750 Transalp equipped with Honda E‑Clutch, expanding accessibility and shifting the focus to a lighter, more agile platform. The upcoming season will unfold in two stages: the Pyrenees in June and the Alps in September, continuing the format of professionally guided, multi‑day expeditions through demanding terrain.
