CFMoto’s Sales Surge, Driven By Big Gains In Europe And The U.S.

Rapid global expansion shows a brand evolving beyond their budget-focused origins.

Published on 09.02.2026

CFMOTO is entering the second half of 2026 with a level of momentum that would have seemed unlikely just a few years ago from the Chinese manufacturer. A recent industry report from Motorcycles Data shows the manufacturer delivering 177,810 units by July —  a 19.4% increase over the same period last year and part of a steady climb that has taken the brand from just over forty‑four thousand units in 2019 to more than two hundred forty‑two thousand in 2025.

The report highlights naked, adventure, and mid‑displacement motorcycles as the company’s strongest performers, and that aligns directly with the rise of CFMOTO’s Ibex platform (called MT overseas), which has become one of the brand’s most important tools in establishing credibility among riders who expect real‑world capability and modern equipment.

Interestingly, sales in their home-country China are slightly negative, but international markets — many of them deeply rooted in adventure riding — are surging. The United States is up more than 40%, a significant jump in a region where riders scrutinize long‑distance comfort, suspension performance, and durability. Mexico and Guatemala show similar strength, both markets where versatile, mixed‑terrain machines are essential.

Europe, however, is where the shift feels most dramatic. France is up more than 80%, and Germany has exploded with more than 700% growth, a remarkable change in a region traditionally dominated by long‑established adventure brands. These are markets where riders don’t simply buy on price; they buy on trust, refinement, and capability. The Ibex line sits squarely in the categories fueling this expansion, benefiting from the same improvements in styling, electronics, engine performance, and perceived quality that the report identifies as key drivers of CFMOTO’s global rise.

Overall, CFMOTO increased its global sales by approximately 447% between 2019 and 2025, meaning annual volumes became more than five times larger in only six years.

The analysis makes it clear that CFMOTO’s transformation isn’t just about volume. It’s about the company evolving into a manufacturer capable of competing head‑to‑head in segments where expectations are high and competition is fierce. While the report doesn’t single out individual models, its emphasis on adventure and mid‑displacement growth mirrors the same space where the Ibex models have gained traction among riders looking for modern capability without the premium price tag.

The report also acknowledges challenges that are important to adventure riders. Dealer network strength, after‑sales support, and residual values remain critical factors for anyone planning long‑distance travel or remote exploration. As CFMOTO pushes deeper into premium territory, those expectations will only rise. But taken as a whole, the data shows a manufacturer in the middle of a significant global shift.

CFMOTO is no longer simply exporting motorcycles; it’s building a presence in some of the most demanding ADV markets in the world and showing they can compete with the top brands in the industry. And with the Ibex line positioned directly in the segments driving that growth, it’s becoming one of the brand’s most influential platforms in shaping what riders expect from modern, performance-oriented adventure motorcycles.
