CFMoto’s 450MT Sweeps All Adventure Classes at Red Bull Romaniacs
The Chinese brand puts the dirt capability of its mid‑size ADV bike on full display.
CFMoto recorded a standout performance at Red Bull Romaniacs 2026, taking wins in every Adventure class and marking one of the most dominant showings of the event. Held July 28 through August 1 in Sibiu, Romania, the race once again challenged riders with steep climbs, rocky descents, forest sections, and long days in the Southern Carpathians, conditions that test both rider skill and machine durability.

Mario Román Serrano led the effort for CFMoto by winning the Adventure Ultimate category aboard the twin-cylinder 450MT. After taking the top spot in the In‑city Prolog, he carried that pace into the off‑road stages and maintained consistent times across the four days. The 450MT’s suspension travel, ground clearance, and 21/18 wheel setup helped it handle the varied terrain, and Román finished with a margin of 14 minutes and 40 seconds over Pol Tarrés, who was piloting the Tenere 700.

The chinese manufacturer also won Adventure Core with Rene Columna finishing and Adventure Lite with He Guishu, completing a sweep of all three classes. Columna’s win came ahead of two‑time Dakar Rally champion Sam Sunderland, who was competing on Triumph’s Tiger 900 in the same category. In Adventure Lite, the brand filled every podium position. Nearly 40 CFMoto riders from 15 countries competed in the Adventure categories, with the 450MT being the most common model among them. The company’s larger MT models, including the 800MT‑X and the new 1000MT‑X, were also present, giving the brand representation across different displacement ranges.

Román said he was proud of the result and grateful for the support he received throughout the week. Columna described his win as a meaningful moment after a demanding race, and He Guishu noted that earning his place through the qualifier made the finish especially significant.
Beyond the trophies, the sweep adds to CFMoto’s broader involvement in competition and rider development, which includes Moto2 and Moto3 programs and initiatives such as the MT Challenge. The brand leaves Sibiu with victories, experience and global recognition, turning the 2026 edition into a defining moment for both its machines and the riders who pushed them to the top.
