Sena has introduced a new adapter device called MeshON, a compact Bluetooth‑to‑Mesh bridge designed to let riders using any compatible Bluetooth motorcycle headset join Sena’s Mesh Intercom network. The idea behind MeshON is simple: give riders who already own a Bluetooth‑only headset a way to access Mesh communication without replacing their current unit, making group connectivity easier for mixed‑brand riding groups.

MeshON pairs to a rider’s existing Bluetooth headset through Sena’s Universal Intercom feature and then connects directly to a Mesh Intercom network. Once linked, riders can participate in both Open Mesh and Group Mesh conversations, including multi‑channel communication, even if their headset doesn’t support Mesh on its own. The device uses Mesh Intercom 3.0 and remains backward compatible with Mesh 2.0, allowing it to integrate with Sena’s current and previous Mesh‑equipped products. It works with Sena and non-Sena brands and the company lists an effective communication range of 800 meters, or roughly half a mile.

Sena says MeshON was created to remove barriers to Mesh communication, and the appeal is clear: Unlike traditional Bluetooth intercom systems that rely on sequential rider connections,  mesh offers more stable group connections than traditional Bluetooth, with self‑healing links that keep conversations flowing even when riders spread out or change positions. 

The adapter unit is designed for helmet mounting and uses a slim two‑button layout with either a magnetic or adhesive attachment. It weighs 22.5 grams and delivers up to 12 hours of Mesh talk time. Sena includes Advanced Noise Control, an IPX7 waterproof rating, USB‑C fast charging, over‑the‑air firmware updates, and full support through the Sena Motorcycles App.

With MeshON, Sena is positioning the device as a way to expand access to Mesh networks for riders who don’t want to upgrade their entire communication system. It’s aimed at groups where riders use a mix of Bluetooth headsets but still want the reliability and flexibility of Mesh Intercom. The device is available through Sena’s dealer network and online store with an MSRP of $129.
