Meet The All-New 2019 KTM 450 Rally Replica
KTM unveils their all-new dune-eating 450 Rally Replica for 2019.

KTM has just unveiled their new KTM 450 Rally Replica, the customer version of the KTM factory rally machine. The new model is almost identical to those ridden by Dakar winners Walkner, Toby Price and Sam Sunderland. The bike now enjoys the technological innovation that propelled the Austrian firm to further Dakar success in 2018, with a completely new design from the ground up that has been specifically developed for rally racing.

The 450cc SOHC fuel-injected engine now provides increased power, thanks to a newly-designed cylinder head with extended durability and an improved transmission that are complemented by a new engine management system and throttle body. A new air filter box offers more room for the electronics and battery while also enhancing mass centralization – a key point of focus during the development of this new machine.
The 2019 KTM 450 Rally Replica enjoys a brand-new chassis, tested and developed with factory riders for the perils and style of Dakar we have seen in recent years, as it combines improved agility with enhanced stability for braking, while retaining the incredible straight-line stability that the KTM rally machines are renowned for.

A new swingarm in conjunction with a reworked linkage and shock absorber, along with WP XACT PRO 48mm closed cartridge suspension with sophisticated Cone Valve technology, provides improved traction when accelerating, as well as increased bottoming reserves. New bodywork utilizes sophisticated aerodynamics to increase rider comfort while the redesigned carbon tower improves visibility of the front wheel. A new, softer seat, revised fuel tanks, and Akrapovič exhaust contribute to mass centralization and reiterate the design goal of a lightweight, agile, comfortable, and stable bike.
“The all-new KTM 450 Rally Replica is based on our already-successful new factory machine that we began racing at the end of last year. With the latest generation, our goal and focus was to develop a bike around the style of our current factory riders, who required something with more comfort, more agility and improved stability. We looked for an improvement in handling, a lower weight, as well as a bike that also meets the demands of the conditions and intensity that we now find at Dakar.” – Stefan Huber (KTM Factory Rally Team Leader)

All of the 75 limited production units of the KTM 450 Rally Replica have already been reserved at a price of EUR 26,000 ($30,500 USD) plus VAT. A service and support package is available at the Dakar Rally at an additional cost for all models of KTM rally bike.

i assume by saying reserved that means sold? or is the just the price reserved at $30500.00
It means there are prospective buyers, who probably have paid down payments already to get on the buyer list.
Oh look, it’s Lyndon Poskitt’s travel bike [harharhar]
Not that I have $30k, but why announce a limited production run that is already sold out, to where knowbody else can purchase?
Because it is cool. Get in line for next year’s 😉
Kirk you are spot on buddy. The motorcycle industry is struggling to sell units and get riders and they do stuff like this. I know its just marketing so all those consumers can toss off over a bike they’ll never get. But it just turns me off to the industry.
Great looking bike, but the deal breaker is the ugly instrument cluster, headlight and windscreen.
You need to up the production number’s. Same Price. I will buy one if you do.
