Cardo Unveils Feature-Packed Packtalk ‘Neo’ To Replace ‘Bold’ Model

Featuring all the advanced tech of the Edge at a lower price point.

Published on 11.07.2022

Cardo has launched the next iteration of its Packtalk system, the all-new Packtalk Neo. Replacing the Packtalk Bold, the Neo sits alongside the Packtalk Edge in Cardo’s advanced connectivity lineup at a lower price point.

Packed with all the best-in-class technology found in the flagship Packtalk Edge motorcycle helmet unit, the Neo boasts second-generation Dynamic Mesh Connectivity with benefits including: a deep wideband sound quality, a simpler and faster grouping process in DMC mode, faster pairing in Bluetooth mode, and Live Intercom Bluetooth support. A sleek, antenna-free design makes the new unit more streamlined while offering up-to one mile of range and a variety of other benefits offered with the best-selling Packtalk Edge.

Bridging the gap between the Freecom 4X and the Packtalk Edge, the waterproof Neo has enhanced sound thanks to redesigned JBL speakers and three new sound profiles. The product attaches to any helmet using a clip in cradle and boasts universal fitment while having an improved noise-canceling microphone. It also houses the most advanced Bluetooth 5.2 chip on the market for universal connectivity. The upgraded Natural Voice Operation engine also means that riders can continue to keep their eyes on the road, hands on the bars and activate their device by simply saying “Hey, Cardo.”

Key highlights include:

  • New slim modern design with no external antenna.
  • Second-generation Dynamic Mesh Communication with faster and easier pairing process and wide-band intercom.
  • Most advanced Bluetooth 5.2 Technology with “Live Intercom” support and improved universal connectivity.
  • Upgraded Natural Voice engine, enhanced JBL Sound, improved noise-canceling microphone.
  • Battery life of up to 13- hours, with fast charging via USB-C.
  • Over-the-air software updates eliminates the need for cables or WiFi adapters.
  • Clip cradle.
  • 2-Year Warranty.

At $349.95 per unit the Packtalk Neo is $40 less than the top-of-the-line Edge model. What are the differences? The Neo has a clickable cradle (instead of the Air Mount/ magnetic cradle), a 2-year warranty instead of Edge’s 3-year and the unit can’t be charged while riding since the speakers and mic connect via the USB-C charging port.
