KLIM Unveils New Adventure GTX Waterproof Boots With BOA System

New ADV Boot offers balance between protection and walking comfort.

Published on 10.13.2020

After months of teases and occasional photo sneak peeks, KLIM has finally unveiled their brand new Adventure GTX Boots, designed with a balance between riding protection and walking comfort.

The waterproof Adventure GTX Boots enter the ADV boot market with an emphasis on combining three primary characteristics: protection, walkability and comfort for extended use.

Not to be confused with stiffer, more aggressive off-road and motocross boots, the Adventure GTX boots are designed for long days on the bike, including hikes to scenic lookouts and a stroll through town – all with great comfort so you’re not kicking them off as soon as you stop for the day.

“Foam impact absorption pucks, reinforced guard areas and a polycarbonate lasting board separate the boot from softer competitors,” says KLIM. Complementing the protection features are flex zones in key areas to allow for walkability. Unrestrictive support is delivered by a combination of Velcro, an ankle buckle and the BOA Fit System, while the lining and Ortholite insole provide internal comfort.

Also, the Michelin sole is designed with hiking traction in mind and KLIM assures excellent wear and grip on the footpegs as well. And to make sure your feet stay dry, GORE-TEX construction keeps water out while letting your sweat evaporate.

Every once in a while I hear of people getting a decent product for a decent price from KLIM. At $550 for these boots, this is not one of them.

I got the price from KLIM’s website. Obviously ADVPulse knows something that KLIM doesn’t. But at $450, I’ll still pass. Too many good boots for 30%-50% less.

Yeah, I only got my pricing from the source. Gore-Tex? Is that one of those rainy state things?

Looks like they thought $550 was too much. $450 is still too much. But I sure won’t be moving to a Gore-Tex state.
