Rebel X Sports All-New Rally Kit for KTM 790 Adventure

Full details and pricing on the new KTM 790 ADV Rally Kit from Rebel X Sports.

Published on 08.18.2019

After 8 months of development and testing, Rebel X Sports is finally making their new Street-Legal Rally Kit for the KTM 790 Adventure available for purchase. Entirely designed and manufactured in Italy near the shores of the Garda Lake, the new kit increases the versatility of the KTM 790 Adventure by adding useful features for both Adventure Riders and Rally Racers.

With a goal of developing the most versatile rally kit for the KTM 790 Adventure, Rebel X Sports partnered with a professional rally race team – Team Kapriony – who performed real race testing with the kit. To give the kit a proper test, the team went to MXGP Motocross Tracks where Ex KTM Factory Dakar rider Giovanni Sala put the whole bike under major stress during final pre-release testing. Last but not least, Malles Moto Dakar rider Manuel Lucchese helped design a completely plug&play system that would give easier access to wiring than the OEM tower/fairing and make it more ‘Rally Friendly’ for those planning on long adventure rides or rally races.

Street-legal LED high/low beam lighting from Hella is provided in the kit.

With their new kit, Rebel X Sports wanted to provide a wider range of options for mounting devices than the OEM KTM 790 Adventure Nav Tower. Adventure Riders and racers alike will  have the ability to install many different device configurations including Smartphones, Tablets, GPS systems, GoPros, Ram or Quad Lock mounted hardware, Roadbook holders, Tripmasters, Speedocaps, Stella, GPS antennas and more. The main instruments bracket can also be further customized with an area left open for drilling in case a specific device does not fit the standard holes.

Wow – a 1000 x improved look/ design (compared to the space-cadets at Kiska design farm)! 790Adv actually looks “proper” now and respects the legend of KTM Dakar – big thumbs up and kudos to rebelXsports design team staffed by “designers who ride” and not random space insects. Seriously seeing this images makes me for the very FIRST time consider buy a 790 R.

Have to agree, the strangely tumoresque headlight housing is an eye sore. This looks bad ass. Only ktm should of made the front…not hideous out of the gate….like that weird villian from Aquaman with the Oversized beetle bug head helmet.

Couldnt agree more Quin, this version 790 makes me want one.

Well, now it looks mainstream like any other Rally bike. If the basic kit (metal parts, headlights, screen) would be available for half the price I might have considered a conversion, just to get a proper mounting point for a heavy GPS unit (276cx) and may (even) better light. But for 2500€ I can buy lots of fuel for the next long distance vacation trips! And the standard headlight is actually quite good.

Loos great Improvement but over priced just not worth it 1000 euros would of been reasonable.
