Tapped by Harley-Davidson to manufacture specialized parts for the Pan America, SW-MOTECH has been hard at work developing a wide range of ergonomic, protection, and additional luggage accessories. With related production and global shipping delays, the brand says this was no small feat, but SW-MOTECH is now announcing a collection of upgrades for the Motor Company’s new adventure machine.

Crash Bars

SW-Motech’s crash bars for the Pan America are bent and welded from high-quality steel with a beefy 27 mm (1 inch) outside diameter for the main bar and 22 mm (7/8 inch) for the support arms. The bars have been designed to blend seamlessly into the bike’s lines, protect critical components and provide a convenient attachment point for additional accessories such as the DryBag 80 or EVO lighting upgrades. 

Header Pipe Guard

The motorcycle header pipe guard is intended as an addition to the engine guard and protects the header pipe tubes from flying rocks. At the same time, the stainless steel cover serves as a heat guard. The universal guard is available in two versions for pipe diameters of 32 to 50 mm and 50 to 70 mm. By dividing them into flexible segments, covers can be easily adapted to the shape of the header pipe. 

Heel Guards

The heel guard prevents touching the hot exhaust or chain and protects against movements of the swing arm. SW-Motech says the part easily mounts to the bike’s existing attachment points.

Axle Sliders

The front axle crash pads, made of abrasion-resistant plastic, protect the drive shaft from damage in the event of a fall. The smooth surface also provides excellent sliding properties.

Skid Plate

Made of a solid aluminum sheet, SW Motech says it offers great protection in the event of unintentional ground contact or stone impact. The skid plate will be offered in both brushed silver and powder coated black.

Brake Fluid Reservoir Guard

The compact brake reservoir guard protects the original brake reservoir from rock chips and simultaneously prevents unwanted removal of the cover. The protector can be installed on the motorcycle in a few simple steps.

Brake Cylinder Guard

The folded and laser-cut aluminum guard protects the foot brake cylinder during off-road riding, even against unwanted boot contact.

EVO Footpegs

Consisting of rotating elements with firmly interlocking teeth, the kit gives you 36 options for positioning. The position of the footrest can be adjusted so that it’s lower or moved forwards or backwards as well as adjusted in terms of its angle to suit your individual needs. The bike-specific joint adapters are simply mounted on to the original parts of the footrest holder. 

Handlebar Risers

These bar risers, which are specially adapted to the Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250, are made of robust, CNC-milled aluminum and raise the handlebars by 30 mm or 50mm depending on the set you choose. Extending the Bowden cables and brake lines is not required.

Adjustable Shift Lever

The gear lever milled from high-quality aluminum alloy for the Harley-Davidson Pan America can be continuously adjusted to find the optimal gear position. A HART-COAT® treatment prevents scratches on the lever and the built-in valve spring protects the gear lever in case of a crash.

EVO High Beams

SW-MOTECH sought out a reliable partner for the development of the new EVO fog lights and relied on the expertise of a long-standing top manufacturer from the automotive sector. Development is focused on meeting the strictest quality standards while also maintaining a compact shape: the EVO high beams are resistant to water and dust, with an IP69 protection class rating. The LEDs highly concentrated light has a wide range, while wear-resistant housings ensure long life. The company also offers a fog light kit for the Pan America.

Tank Bags

The SW-MOTECH PRO Tank Ring System will become available for the bike this month. The model-specific tank ring will enable riders to conveniently mount a selection of the new PRO Tank Bags to the Pan America, including the new fully waterproof PRO Yukon WP or the larger upcoming PRO City WP. The PRO Tank Ring System uses the innovative Fidlock magnet system to guide the mechanically locking rings into alignment for quick, easy and secure one-handed attachment of the tank bag to the bike.

TRAX ADV Accessories

SW-MOTECH manufactures the Harley-Davidson hard luggage for the Pan America, exclusively available through Harley-Davidson dealers. However, there is also a whole host of SW-MOTECH accessories for their panniers and top cases that fit Harley Davidson’s hard cases and are perfect companions to get the most out of the luggage. This includes TRAX ADV lid organizers, lid nets, inner bag liners, bottle holders and expansion cases. 

Universal Products

In addition to the bike-specific parts, there are plenty of other solutions already available for the Pan America owners. A series of Drybags in various volumes can be secured to the bike’s tail rack, rear seat or crash bars. The Drybag 260, 350 and 600 can connect to each other and the Drybag 80 is a versatile smaller bag designed to work well on crash bars. 

Several SW-MOTECH PRO Tail Bags have also been tested to fit the Pan America and make a great supplement to standard side luggage. They are also great for commuting with the convenient one-handed lashing strap system. The PRO Seat Ring allows for flat-bottomed tank bags like the PRO Micro, PRO Daypack or PRO Yukon WP (waterproof) to be used as a tailbag on the passenger seat. SW-MOTECH also makes complete kits and interchangeable components for mounting a phone or GPS device for navigation. The SW-MOTECH T-Lock system provides a secure mount for the device but allows a single-handed, simple mounting and removal process for the rider.

Availability

More accessories are coming including a centerstand, headlight guard, sidestand foot extension and more. The products will start to become available to customers in Europe this spring, with the full line in stock by summer. Distribution through SW-MOTECH USA in Portland, OR will begin this summer but many universal and TRAX ADV hard luggage accessories that fit the Harley Davidson aluminum cases are available now.
