New Self-Confidence Project Empowers Women Riders to Venture On
Women ADV Riders building confidence one adventure at a time.

Kicking off the fall, Women ADV Riders online project is gearing up for a new challenge: Inspiring women adventure riders to go further and faster by developing higher self-confidence.
Many women have low self-esteem, “and it’s holding us back—in life, in motorcycling, and in adventuring”. Women ADV Riders team believes it’s time to change that!
“Wherever I’ve worked in the world, I’ve consistently found that a fundamental lack of belief in our own value, worth and ability to achieve consistently tempers female ambition and holds women back.”

With that in mind, Women ADV Riders is partnering with Rev’It, West 38 Moto, ADV Woman Rally and SheADV and launching the #adventureisattitude project: A self-esteem campaign for women adventure riders, aiming to inspire, encourage, and support two-wheeled adventuresses all over the world.
“Confidence is everything. And it’s a struggle, certainly one that I know very well. Can I do that? Can I ride this? Of course, I can—the real question is ‘how,’ not ‘if.’ Having real self-confidence can be a game changer,” says Amelia Kamrad, member of the Rev’It’s Women’s ADV Team.
The goal of the #adventureisattitude campaign is to raise awareness of the powerful effects that self-confidence can have on travel, adventure, and motorcycling. Women ADV Riders wants to help women embrace and develop their self-confidence and learn to love themselves unconditionally.
“We have interviewed and featured hundreds of women adventure riders from all over the world—the U.S., Europe, Australia, India, Iran, South Africa—and all throughout these conversations, self-confidence kept popping up. ‘Can I tackle this trail?’ ‘Am I good enough to embark on a long overland journey?’ ‘Is this bike too big for me?’ ‘I’m nothing special—how can I ride to another country on my own?’ Questions and concerns about self-confidence are so prevalent in conversations with women riders that we decided we needed to do something about it. And that’s how the #adventureisattitude campaign was born. We want to invite all two-wheeled adventuresses to raise our voices together, have a good heart-to-heart chat, and figure this confidence thing out—together,” explains Egle Gerulaityte, editor of Women ADV Riders.

The #adventureisattitude campaign launches this week and will run until March 31, 2018. Keep an eye out for articles, interviews, podcasts, and live webinars: Women ADV Riders will be talking to influential women in adventure—travelers, trainers, instructors, tour guides, powersports and outdoors business owners, as well as world travelers, off-road maniacs, and women who simply enjoy adventure motorcycling. Everyone is welcome to actively participate: Watch for calls to storytelling and video contests, off-road training, gear freebies, and interactive workshops at WomenADVRiders.
“Women inspire me all the time—ordinary women, doing absolutely extraordinary things,” says Pat Jacques, off-road riding instructor and empowerment coach. Women ADV Riders believes that self-confidence can have an incredibly positive change in so many women’s lives, and hopes to inspire, encourage and support female riders through the #adventureisattitude campaign.
