Touratech Launches New and Improved Compañero Riding Suit
Touratech's Compañero World 2 suit gets key updates and improvements.

In 2012, Touratech introduced the COMPAÑERO riding suit — durable, versatile and stylish gear perfect for riding in any weather and any climate. The new COMPAÑERO World 2 maintains all of the great features of the original suit, but various modifications have been made based on thousands of users’ experiences and advances in technology.
Thanks to a new fabric with greater air-flow – Cordura Air™– in the ventilated zones, the inner summer suit is now even cooler, yet at the same time more resilient. Cordura 500™ is used as the base material, while the additional shoulder and elbow layers are made of even stronger Cordura 2000™. Another new material, incorporating woven reflective threads, is used to help create maximum visibility. Impact protection is provided from CE level 2 armor, while an integrated Gore-Tex Pro Shell provides ventilated waterproofing.
“I wear it in all imaginable weather and riding conditions week in and week out. Comfort and safety are very important to me.” – Lisa Thomas – Adventure Motorcycle Travel Legend
There are a lot of great upgrades to the World 2, but probably the most visible is the way the outer layer is stored. Instead of a zip-on back pocket, it now comes in a slender backpack with expanding zippers. The backpack straps ensure optimum weight distribution and can be discreetly concealed when not in use. The backpack can be used separately on short excursions.
Because the zipper placements on the COMPAÑERO World 2 are identical with those on the original, jackets and trousers from both suits can be combined. Like the original, the COMPAÑERO World 2 is produced in collaboration with German manufacturer Stadler.

I just purchased this jacket and it’s absolutely incredible. I had the previous version as well and there’s some nice upgrades to the World 2. It flows more air at the 100F temps I’ve been riding in and the backpack is a nice feature instead of the butt pack it used to have. The side arm pocket for sunglasses now fits large sunglasses instead of eye glasses like the old version and the arm pouch for phone is bigger, but sadly it barely fits an iPhone 6 standard in it. Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and above owners can forget about using it. Unfortunately I returned mine because although the outer Gore-Tex shell is lighter and thinner, you still feel like the Michelin Man when wearing it. It really constricts your movement vs. a Gore-Tex shell motorcycle jacket like Aerostich Darien or Klim Badlands. I would prefer if they sold the Companero World 2 without a waterproof outer liner at a reduced price so we could add our own less bulky rain shell.
