Product Overview

The Sea to Summit X-Set 11 is a light and compact cooking kit for making hot meals and drinks while camping. The X-Set 11 includes a kettle and two cups that collapse and merge together into a flat disc for storage. The kettle features a 6063-T6 aluminum base that absorbs heat from a fuel stove while the heat-resistant silicone walls remain protected from melting. Two glass-reinforced nylon handles allow controlled pouring of boiling water while preparing freeze-dried meals or hot beverages.

What We Liked

  • Prepare hot beverages and freeze-dried meals with ease.
  • Small flat disc fits perfectly in a set of minimalist saddlebags.
  • Two cups to share whiskey in the evening and coffee in the morning.
  • One of the lightest and most compact cook sets you can buy.
What Could Be Improved

  • Boiling times are slow.
  • Kettle not approved for open flame (would allow you to eliminate carrying a stove).
Sea to Summit x-set 11 packed down
The kettle and two cups collapse down to a small package that can be easily stashed inside your luggage.

Who Is It For
Adventure Riders on smaller dual sport bikes with limited storage. Riders that want the lightest, smallest camping gear possible to minimize the impact on their bike’s off-road handling.

Sea to summit x-set 11 cooks freeze-dried meals
The 1.3-liter Kettle is designed to work with a gas burner to boil water for freeze-dried meals, oatmeal, coffee or tea.

Our Verdict

The Sea to Summit X-Set 11 is an amazing little cook set that is perfect for ultralight packing adventure rides. It’s more affordable, less bulky, and holds more water than the cheapest JetBoil model. It won’t boil water as fast as a JetBoil but it gets the job done. Pair the X-Set 11 with a portable backpacking stove, fuel, freeze-dried meals and a collapsible coffee maker, and you’ve got everything you need to nourish your body after a long day’s journey.
