Firstgear Launches Temperature Regulating Base Layer Line
Technical base layer that cools and transfers moisture away from the body.

Layering your clothes can really make a difference in comfort on long trips and it all starts with your base layers. Motorcycle apparel manufacturer Firstgear has launched a new technical base layer product line called 37.5 Basegear. Basegear is a new, next-to-skin performance layer that features 37.5 particle technology. This technology provides the wearer with significant cooling and moisture transfer properties by increasing the surface area by 800%.
“Our new Basegear layering program was created to really maximize the comfort level of users over a wide range of environments and activity by dramatically improving the efficiency of any waterproof-breathable garment,” said Greayer Clover, Brand Manager for Firstgear. “This increased surface area will insure the wearer is comfortable and keeps an optimal body temperature while riding in any condition,” said Clover.
In addition to the 37.5 Basegear technology, the Basegear line of apparel features a 4-way, stretch knit fabric that consists of a 92% polyester/8% spandex fiber that is said to dry 5x faster than similar fabrics. It maximizes the contact with the skin and features a flat-lock seam construction to ensure comfortable layering.
The new 37.5 Basegear line offers the flexibility to customize your layering with boxers, short-sleeve shirt, pants, skull cap, face mask, balaclava, long sleeve shirt, arm warmers, leg warmers, neck gaiter and a convertible hood.
