Secret Stash Box Mounts Behind Your License Plate

Perfect for storing your essentials and hiding a few things for emergencies.

Published on 12.05.2014

Finding a place to store your vehicle registration and insurance documents can be a real pain on a motorcycle. Most Adventure Motorcycles don’t have a convenient storage compartment to hide things away for the occasional usage. You end up trying to tape your documents, spare cash and other essential items under your seat and hope they stay safely in place. Other storage devices like a tool tube or handlebar bag work well but don’t provide good security for items of value.

The Twisted Throttle Stash Box is a lockable license plate storage box that is perfect for storing smaller items like registration, proof of insurance, travel documents, or some emergency cash. Whether you are just commuting or traveling the world, this secret stash box offers secure storage for hiding items of value while you travel. This Stash Box mounts right behind your license plate concealed from view and maintains the stock appearance of your motorcycle. The weather resistant Stash Box includes a locking mechanism to ensure your items stay safe and protected.

At $20 the ‘Secret Stash Box’ is a reasonable buy, but I think a fully visible lock is a dead give-away so it’s hardly ‘secret’. I hope they’ll continue re-designing along this idea. Someone should be able to come up with something that’s truly disguised.
