Chris Birch Shows What’s Possible on a KTM 1190 Adventure

 The Enduro Champ rides the big KTM like it's a trials bike in this short film.

Published on 04.23.2015

Six time New Zealand Enduro Champion Chris Birch is at it again sliding, jumping and wheeling his big KTM 1190 Adventure R like it’s a trials bike. New Zealand’s dramatic landscape and crystal clear blue waters offer the perfect backdrop to highlight Chris’s tremendous riding skills in this short film produced by MAD TV.

The difficulty level of some of his stunts is off the charts, like when he wheelies across a river, then immediately climbs up a vertical cliff only to launch off the top. Or when he casually wheelies his bike through a banked turn and then just keeps the wheelie going. The hills look steep on camera, so you can only imagine how intimidating they are in person.

Chris Birch makes it look easy and inspires us all to push beyond what we thought was possible on a big bike. But don’t get too carried away this weekend!

As a moto journalist, he enjoys inspiring others to seek adventure across horizons both near and far.

  1. Wow. That was impressive. I have always said the big bikes can do just about anything, it comes down to skillset of the rider.
