10 Great Opportunities From The AMA To Go Ride Off-Road in 2024
American Motorcycle Association releases its ADV Riding Series for the new year.

As winter’s chill tightens its grip on our favorite riding routes for those of us in the northern hemisphere, we eagerly anticipate the spring thaw that heralds in a new season of adventure riding. The American Motorcycle Association (AMA) is once again illuminating the way to exciting new riding opportunities for the new year with the unveiling of their 2024 National Adventure Riding Series event calendar.
Spanning 10 events nationwide, the AMA has strategically planned the series to include events scattered across the country with the goal to make it easy for local riders to participate while also encouraging adventure riders from afar to explore new territories. The diverse locations ensure a variety of riding experiences with both scenic landscapes and exciting terrain.
Adventure Rides from the AMA National Adventure Riding Series offer some of the best routes, roads and two-track trails for adventure riders from around the country. Not only do these multi-day events include exciting routes that are well marked and thoughtfully designed, but they are built around a full weekend of activities that typically includes bonfires, camping, camaraderie, food, and prizes.

Since 2007 the AMA has hosted this series with the hope of involving as many new ADV Riders as possible. Whether you’re a novice or a seasoned rider, the series caters to all skill levels. Each event offers different difficulty options, ensuring that every participant finds a ride that suits their abilities. The series aims to introduce newcomers to adventure riding while still challenging experienced riders with ample high-difficulty trails.
AMA membership is required for these national-level events. One-event pass may be purchased for $20 (only available for purchase at the event) or a full AMA membership for $49 (online or at the event). Participants in the series also have the opportunity to win prizes from the series sponsors during events and at the end of the year.
If you are not currently an American Motorcycle Association member, it is something to seriously consider. The AMA is heavily involved with protecting your rights as a motorcyclist. They also do an incredible amount of work safeguarding the future of motorcycling and keeping our riding areas/trails open.

I really liked the lead-in photo. What road are they on?
That’s Soda Dry Lake in the Mojave Preserve near the Traveler’s Monument.
