Here’s Where You Can Watch The Dakar Rally 2024
Don't miss the action of the toughest rally raid on Earth.
The adrenaline-fueled chaos of Dakar starts January 5th, kicking off what organizers say will be “the toughest edition since the race came to the Middle East.” One of the biggest obstacles will be the route itself with 12 punishing stages riddled with potential pitfalls and navigational challenges. Add to the menu the introduction of the new “48-hour Chrono Stage” in which competitors will be basically left to their own devices for over two days, and you know Dakar 2024 is not to be missed.
To document the action, Dakar organizers say they have dedicated significant resources to bring the adventure to TV viewers:
- Over 560 accredited media representatives from 33 countries
- 130 press and agency photographers
- 5 TV helicopters
- 8 TV vehicles roaming the tracks and roads
- 23 footage production and broadcast trucks
- 22 camera operators and 26 on-board cameras

Official Dakar Rally website
The official rally site Dakar.com and its mobile application are the main hub for all the information to follow the race in real time. These resources offer live monitoring of the race with real-time tracking and cartography, live commentary, provisional results by category and kilometer point, daily stage videos, rider spotlight videos, interviews and more. Many of the videos are also accessible through the official Dakar YouTube channel and are available in four languages: French, English, Spanish and Arabic.
Besides launching its first-ever prediction game, a new feature is now also available from the race live coverage module: stage replay. Users can select multiple vehicles and relive a head-to-head clash of their favorite competitors by following on the map the traces that the entrants set during the stage, as if they had started at the same time.
