Aprilia Wants You To Explore The Colorado Rockies On The Tuareg 660

All-inclusive experiences aboard the Italian brand's popular adventure machine.

Published on 05.26.2026

Aprilia is expanding its all-inclusive Tuareg Experience program in the United States for 2026, adding two new rides designed to give riders structured opportunities to explore the Tuareg 660 platform in different environments. The Colorado Buffalo Run and the Tech Camp join the existing Western Frontier routes, creating a broader lineup that ranges from guided backcountry travel to skills‑focused training.

Across all Tuareg Experiences, Aprilia supplies a Tuareg 660 for the duration of the program, along with support staff, meals, and accommodations. Group sizes are limited, and riders are placed according to experience level. The format is designed to remove the logistical elements that often come with multi‑day ADV travel, allowing participants to focus on riding and skill development.

Colorado Buffalo Run

This new nine-day experience takes riders from Colorado Springs to Telluride, covering some of the state’s most iconic high‑altitude terrain. Aprilia positions it as an off‑road expedition for riders with intermediate experience who want structured support while tackling Colorado’s mix of mountain passes, remote dirt roads, and historic mining areas.

The route includes several well‑known Rocky Mountain highlights — Pikes Peak, Cottonwood Pass, Pitkin, and Silverton, plus a full traverse of the Alpine Loop. Mileage ranges from roughly 1,600 to 1,900 km over the course of the event, with elevation changes and terrain variety typical of Colorado’s backcountry network. Riders spend each day on a provided Tuareg 660 Rally, with instructors leading small groups through a combination of graded dirt, rugged two‑track, and high‑altitude connectors.

For those opting into the extended program, the Buffalo Run can be followed by a three‑day fly‑fishing excursion in the Rocky Mountains. Aprilia describes this add‑on as a guided experience on well‑known trout waters, with lodging in remote wilderness areas and time dedicated to fishing and recovery after the ride.

Pricing for the Buffalo Run starts at $6,850. The ride runs from July 30 to August 7 and through August 10 if opting for the fly fishing excursion.

Tech Camp

The Tech Camp is a three‑day immersive training‑focused program based in Taylor Park, Colorado, designed for riders who want structured off‑road instruction combined with short guided tours on local trails. Aprilia positions it as an abridged version of the larger Tuareg Experience events, aimed at riders with limited time who want access to coaching and the opportunity to ride the Tuareg 660 Rally platform.

The program begins with an afternoon arrival at base camp, followed by a motorcycle presentation, team introductions, and an informal Italian‑style dinner. Participants stay in glamping accommodations at a remote campsite, with meals and hospitality handled on‑site.

Day two centers on skills development. Riders start with a morning training session covering practical off‑road techniques and touring fundamentals, led by Aprilia’s instructors. After lunch, groups are divided by experience level for a guided ride through the Taylor Park trail network, allowing participants to apply the morning’s drills on real terrain. Evenings return to camp for dinner and downtime around the fire.

The final day includes a second guided tour on new routes before returning to camp around midday for a closing debrief. Aprilia provides a new Tuareg 660 Rally for each participant, along with support staff, first‑aid coverage, and a hospitality team. Lodging, meals, and glamping accommodations are included.

Three Tech Camp sessions are scheduled for August 2026 with price set at $3,999. To get all the details, go to the Tuareg Experience page.
