GasGas Dual Sport Models Receive Updates For 2025

The plated-enduros receive a boost in stopping power, suspension and more.

Published on 06.20.2024

A year after GasGas introduced the ES 350 and ES 500 to their dual sport range, the KTM-owned brand is bringing back their two plated enduros for 2025 with several technical updates.

First up, the suspension has been updated. While still offering 12 inches of travel front and rear, the performance of the WP XACT rear shock is taken up a notch for 2025 thanks to new, lower friction seals in the linkage. The update is complemented with a smaller diameter linkage bolt to save a little weight. For an optimized set-up, high- and low-speed compression can be easily adjusted by hand, as well as rebound which can be quickly fine-tuned for maximum comfort and traction.

Stopping performance delivered by the high-performance Braktec braking system has also been improved with a new rear brake caliper that’s stronger and more durable. To keep things rolling, the 4-stroke machines come equipped with silver, CNC machined hubs, lightweight spokes, and high-strength EXCEL rims shod with Continental TKC 80 tires.

The 2025 ES 350 and ES 500 also receive an updated die-cast aluminum swingarm that is low in weight, strong and lightly machined to keep the chain running smooth longer while retaining an optimized amount of flex. At the rear of the swingarm, a chain guide with a rounded profile helps it glide over the ground as you lay the bike over through deeply rutted turns. And for easier and quicker maintenance, the setup offers clear chain adjustment markings.

Beneath the 2.4-gallon (9-liter) transparent polythene fuel tank is a new, stronger support made from rubber that not only helps hold the tank firmly in place but protects the frame from wear as well. To help keep the ride going longer, an integrated fuel pump allows the tank to be emptied further before refueling.

To simplify starting and stopping, the buttons for each function are now in the same housing on the right-hand side of the bars for easy thumb-operated use. The starter motor itself is powered by a lightweight, Li-ion battery that fires the machine to life fast and reliably. The package is paired with new graphics boasting bold black letters.
