KTM has announced that it is bringing the 2027 450 Rally Replica to North America for the first time, giving U.S. and Canadian customers access to its factory-derived rally racer. Produced in extremely limited numbers, the Replica bike arrives in pure competition specification and is based directly on the platform used in the manufacturer’s rally racing program. 

The new model continues KTM’s approach of offering a competition‑ready platform to riders who want to enter rally events or experience the same hardware that has dominated Dakar races. The bike is powered by a 449.3cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected single-cylinder engine featuring a SOHC four-valve cylinder head with rocker arms. The engine uses a Keihin electronic management system, pressure lubrication with two oil pumps, and a Kokusan ignition system. 

Power is delivered through a six-speed transmission and hydraulic wet multi-disc clutch with rally-specific gearing.A titanium Akrapovič exhaust system comes standard, while dual radiators are used to improve cooling efficiency and provide added reliability during competition. 

The chassis is built around a hydro-formed, laser-cut, hand-welded chromium-molybdenum steel frame. KTM says the design is engineered to balance longitudinal and torsional flex, while the rear self-supporting fuel tank also serves as the subframe. 

Suspension components come from WP’s top-tier competition catalog. Up front is a 48mm WP XACT PRO 7548 Closed Cartridge Cone Valve fork, while the rear uses a fully adjustable WP XACT PRO 7750 shock. Travel measures 304 mm (12.0 inches) at the front and 280 mm (11.0 inches) at the rear.

The Rally Replica is equipped with a number of race-focused components, including CNC-machined triple clamps with a 23 mm offset, KTM’s PHDS (Progressive Handlebar Damping System), a Scotts steering damper, aluminum tapered handlebars with rally foam grips, and wider footpegs designed to improve rider control. 

A three-tank fuel system provides approximately 34.5 liters (9.11 gallons) of capacity. The motorcycle also features a carbon-fiber navigation tower, LED headlight package, Selle Dalla Valle seat, and compatibility with modern digital roadbook systems used in rally competition. 

Braking duties are handled by Brembo components with a 300 mm front disc and 240 mm rear disc. The bike rides on aluminum-rim spoked wheels fitted with Michelin Starcross 6 Medium/Soft tires.

Pricing and Availability

The 450 Rally Replica is the only customer race model developed, produced, and assembled by the official KTM Motorsports facility in Austria. The 2027 bike will be offered in limited numbers and is expected to arrive at authorized KTM dealers this Fall, carrying an MSRP of $42,499 in the United States and $47,999 CAD in Canada.
