KTM Issues New Recall For Over 20,000 Off-Road Motorcycles
Brake issue grows beyond Husqvarna and GASGAS dual sport models.

What began as a recall for a brake problem issued for Husqvarna and GASGAS dual sport models back in February, has now been officially announced to also impact a large number of off-road motorcycles. This comes as little surprise, considering the widespread technology sharing across all brands owned by Pierer Mobility under the KTM AG umbrella.
The new recall filed by KTM North America, affects over 20,000 Husqvarna and GASGAS dirt bikes from model years 2022-2025 for the same issue that plagued the dual sport units — a defective front brake caliper.
According to the new report filed with the Consumer Product Safety Commission the front brake caliper can crack, dangerously reducing the braking system’s effectiveness. The recall affects about 19,310 units in the United States and around 3,870 in Canada.
