Leatt Launches All-New Mid-Range Priced 4.5 Moto Boots

New mid-priced Moto Boot from Leatt inspired by the high-tech 5.5 FlexLock.

Published on 02.04.2021

Off-road gear maker Leatt has launched their all-new 4.5 Moto Boot, after what the brand states took years of development and testing using Pro athletes from all over the world. Inspired by their popular 5.5 FlexLock boots, the new 4.5s offer many of the same advanced features at a mid-range price point.

From absorbing landings on jumps, to catching your foot in a rut, on a log or root, your feet sustain a great number of hard impacts. There are over 24 bones that give structure and mobility to the foot and ankle, so it’s important to keep this vulnerable structure protected while maintaining feel and proper motion when riding. This boot is designed for optimum comfort and feel while protecting your feet from serious injuries should you take a fall.

With comfort as one of the major goals, the new 4.5 is said to offer a spacious fit, even for those with wider feet. One of the boot’s highlights, which is intended to ensure a secure fit, is the SlideLock. This system slides only one way then auto-locks, making the boots easy to fasten and offers a seal at the top of the boot around your knee pads or braces. The SlideLock system is further reinforced with strong polymer composite buckles, an over-lock system, and a stainless-steel base.

Grip and feel are other key factors for any Moto Boot and, according to Leatt, the 4.5 has it covered with the inside of the boot using a flat rubber surface that lets you hold on tight. Another great feature is the low-profile toe-box that makes it easy to get your foot under the shifter, even with new boots.  What’s more, the ankle of the boot is designed to provide significant heel grip, offering you more stability when riding on the toes or balls of your feet.

Available with either an Enduro or Motocross sole, the boot features DualZone hardness, which means that the middle of the sole is harder, where the pegs are for durability and comfort, but the edges of the sole are softer for ease of movement. The sole also features an extended foot peg riding zone for arch and on-the-toes riding styles. Also, the shank is reinforced with steel and CE certified for the safety of your feet. In addition, this boot includes a 3D molded inner liner that’s made of breathable mesh and features anti-slip reinforcement to help prevent heel lift.

The 4.5 Moto Boots are available in an array of colors and sizes with an MSRP of $299.99 USD / € 299.00 / £254.99.

  2. Every article on motorcycle magazines are just ads these days. This article is just a sales brochure. Just post a link to the manufacturer and let them do their own advertising.

    • Robert, this particular post is a news announcement of the launch of a new product. The only information that can be shared for now are specs, features and what the company has stated the product is designed for. Were you expecting a review on day one of an announcement of a product?
