Mitas Launches New Street-Legal ‘Terra Force-EX’ Tire Line

New knobby line offers four different tread patterns for various types of terrain.

Published on 08.29.2023

A few months after announcing the expansion of their adventure range with the Enduro-Trail ADV tire, Mitas is now rolling out their new Terra Force-Ex line. Specifically designed for enduro and dual sport motorcycles, Mitas says the fresh rubber is engineered to deliver more power, control and endurance even under the most extreme conditions.

Available throughout 2023, the new Terra Force-Ex line of knobby tires is classified as ‘street legal’ and features four different patterns available in various versions and sizes, including Junior. Options include applications for racing, a puncture-resistant ICE version suitable for studding and more.

Terra Force-EX SM

Designed for all Soft to Medium terrain types with stability and resistance to wear in wet or dry conditions. The Terra Force-EX SM features a well spaced, high knob design (~17 mm) that offers great self-cleaning ability in mud and/or loose soil while the side knobs with a hooked profile aid acceleration. The reinforced carcass and a flexible sidewall helps it to absorb impacts and ensure maximum traction and directional stability. Available in Super (Fast Enduro) and Super Light (Technical Enduro) versions.

Terra Force-EX HT

Based on the popular Mitas XT-454 and XT-444, the Terra Force-EX HT is designed for all Hard Terrain types. According to Mitas, the tire delivers excellent traction and resistance to punctures. The HT features a thicker reinforced carcass with distinctively wide and tall (~16,5 mm) tread knobs specially designed for resistance and traction on hard terrain. The knobs also include pre-formed holes to be used for positioning either injected or screw-in carbide steel studs. Moreover, the ICE compound makes it extremely durable for winter riding on partially or fully frozen grounds and remains elastic up to -15°C.
