Mitas Unveils New “Enduro Trail-ADV 2” Adventure Tire

All-new 70/30 rubber joins the brand’s adventure lineup.

Published on 04.25.2025

Mitas has unveiled a completely-revised Enduro Trail-ADV 2, building on the legacy of its predecessor, the Enduro Trail-ADV. Classified as 70% on-road and 30% off-road, the new tire promises versatile performance over a variety of terrain, along with the longevity adventure riders crave.

Mitas describes the Enduro Trail-ADV 2 as a tire built for those seeking trail capabilities while demanding excellent road performance. The brand is keeping many technical details underwraps until the new tire is released in May but they revealed it uses Multi-Compound Tread Technology (MCTT), which offers improved mileage and cornering grip, even at low temperatures. Plus a high silica content excels in wet conditions, providing riders with optimal grip on slippery surfaces. In addition, the tire’s unique carcass structure is said to give greater stability and comfort at high speeds, making it suitable for long highway rides or dynamic cornering on twisty roads.

For light to medium off-road use, the Enduro Trail-ADV 2 features a self-cleaning chevron tread pattern that maintains traction on uneven or loose terrain. The high silica content in the rubber should also aid the tire with additional grip on slippery rocks and wet soil. Positioned between the more street-oriented Enduro Trail SP (90% street / 10% dirt) and the rugged Enduro Trail+ (60% street / 40% dirt), the new Enduro Trail-ADV 2 strikes a balance that many adventure riders are looking for.

This redesign doesn’t come without some intrigue, as the original Enduro Trail-ADV bore a striking resemblance to a competitor’s tire design — a possible patent infringement that some reports say might have sparked the innovation seen in this latest release. The new tread pattern now shares a similar woven chevron design as the other ‘Enduro Trail’ tires in Mitas’ lineup, giving them all a familial resemblance.

According to Gustavo Pinto Teixeira, Head of Mitas Motorcycle Tires, “The Mitas Enduro Trail-ADV 2 is a game-changer for adventure riders. Its advanced tread design and innovative materials ensure that riders can tackle any terrain with confidence and comfort, whether they’re cruising on highways or exploring off-road trails.”

Mitas says they will initially launch in May with two key sizes — 90/90-21 and 150/70-18 but additional sizes for big adventure bikes and scooters will be added by late 2025.
