NEXX has unveiled the X.LifeCountry, a new modular helmet crafted for riders who navigate both rugged trails and tarmac. The fresh lid replaces the outgoing X.Vilijord in their adventure lineup and features upgraded ventilation along with improved safety and comfort.

Now meeting the ECE 22.06 safety standard, the X.LifeCountry’s shell is made of highly-impact resistant X-Pro Carbon fiber. This next-generation material combines aerospace technology with 3K carbon, which the Portuguese brand says results in a composite construction that is “lighter, stronger, and safer.” The X.LifeCountry also carries P/J double homologation which makes it legal to ride with the chin bar in the open or closed position. Plus, vision reflectors improve your visibility during night rides.

NEXX has also equipped the LifeCountry with a new Mid Airflow Chamber system that creates a storage gap between the inner and outer EPS layers. According to the brand, the system is designed to promote rapid circulation of fresh air around the head while efficiently venting hot air through rear exhaust ports.

To enhance interior ventilation, the helmet is equipped with what NEXX calls a new “Air Cumbs” system. This system consists of a dedicated alveolar mesh sewn onto the crown pad, forming a cool air chamber between the padding and the EPS liner. For those long journeys, comfort is further aided with the use of X-Mart Dry fabric, which dries twice as fast as cotton.

To reduce aerodynamic drag the lid’s soundproofing system includes vortex generators on the chin, while a dual rubber seal around the visor and mask closure offers noise insulation. Additionally, the integrated Anti-Noise cheek pads and neck roll are designed to deflect wind and minimize unwanted noise.

Elsewhere, the X.LifeCountry is equipped with two closable air intakes and two exhaust outlets plus the off-road peak is crafted to enhance airflow and minimize buffeting and vibrations at high speeds. It also features a removable, adjustable peak extender for greater sun protection. Plus, the Super Locker pivot system ensures a steadfast lock when the chin bar is raised. 

Other features include a drop-down sun visor activated by a slider mechanism, a glasses-friendly fit, anti-noise ergonomic cheek pads, a chin curtain, detachable brackets for action cameras, and a large eye port, which NEXX states surpasses standard requirements by 15%. The new helmet is also NEXX X-COM 3 / X-COM3 PRO Intercom-ready, with “Plug&Play” easy setup.

Pricing, Sizes & Availability

Besides the premium X-Pro carbon model, the X.LifeCountry is also offered in a mid-range version manufactured with NEXX’s X-Matrix 2 multi-composite fiber. Sizing for both models ranges from XS to 3XL with two shell sizes available (XS-L and XL-3XL). Weight without accessories is listed at 1725g +/- 50 g for the X-Pro and 1825 g +/- 50 g for the X-Matrix version.

According to NEXX, the X.LifeCountry will hit US shores in April 2025 with a lineup comprising 4 variants: X-Matrix/Plain, X-Matrix/Westbound, X-Pro/Terra and X-Pro/Zero Pro.
