Rieju Aventura Rally 307 Hits U.S. Dealers Ahead of Dakar Entry

A new rally-bred model bound for the toughest race on earth comes to our shores.

Published on 11.04.2026

American adventure riders looking for lightweight, rally-bred performance are getting a new entry in the dual-sport landscape. Spanish manufacturer Rieju has officially announced that the production Aventura Rally 307 begins arriving at authorized U.S. dealerships in November 2026, distributed nationwide via Central Powersports Distribution.

Even more compelling, the company has officially announced its entry into the 2027 Dakar Rally with the Rieju Rally 307 — a competition-prepped version of the exact production adventure model arriving on U.S. dealership floors this month. Moreover, the man sitting behind the handlebars will be August Castellà, the lead R&D engineer who personally designed and developed the motorcycle. Castellà is no stranger to top-tier competition, having already proven the platform’s race credentials in rally events around the world.

Rather than stripping down a heavy touring motorcycle or up-speccing a casual trail bike, Rieju says they engineered the Aventura Rally 307 from the ground up as a dedicated rally-adventure machine. At its heart lies a 293 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder four-stroke engine featuring double overhead cams, four valves, electronic fuel injection, and twin Bosch injectors. This powertrain delivers a claimed 33.5 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and 27 Nm of torque, giving it roughly a 24 percent peak power advantage over traditional Japanese single-cylinder competitors in the sub-300cc adventure category, says Rieju.

Power is put to the ground through a six-speed foot-shift gearbox paired with a wet, multi-plate anti-rebound slipper clutch designed to prevent rear-wheel hopping during aggressive downshifts on loose dirt. For riders wanting even more performance, Rieju offers an optional factory Power Kit combining a high-performance CDI, high-flow air filter, and catalyst-free IXIL exhaust to bump output to a claimed 38.5 horsepower and 31 Nm of torque.

Constructed around a high-strength steel central spine frame, paired with a progressive aluminum swingarm, the bike offers a 1,420 mm wheelbase and 260 mm of obstacle-clearing ground clearance. Upfront, 43 mm upside-down telescopic forks are fully adjustable for compression and rebound, while the rear progressive monoshock is also adjustable with spring preload, along with compression, and rebound damping. Both ends deliver a generous 235 mm, or 9.25 inches, of suspension travel.

The machine rolls on  21”/18” spoked wheels factory-fitted with rim locks at both ends to handle low tire pressures on technical trails. Stopping power is managed by a 300 mm front Wave disc with a twin-piston floating caliper and a 240 mm rear Wave disc, tied to a switchable dual-channel ABS system featuring a dedicated off-road mode.

Despite its off-road focus, Rieju says the Aventura Rally 307 is built to travel long distances between fill-ups. The motorcycle incorporates a large 21-liter, or 5.5-gallon, fuel tank that yields a claimed range exceeding 500 kilometers, or more than 300 miles, on a single fill. Remarkably, Rieju managed to keep the dry weight down to 137 kg, or roughly 302 lbs, resulting in a wet weight of approximately 153 kg (337 lbs).

The cockpit features a narrow 890 mm (35 inches) seat height, full LED lighting, and a vertical 7-inch TFT instrument display equipped with day and night modes, ambient temperature readouts, and smartphone Mirror Link navigation connectivity. For riders seeking an even more aggressive off-road configuration straight from the crate, Rieju offers a factory 307R variant that adds Michelin Tracker knobby tires, an aluminum ACD skid plate, and striking red factory racing graphics. Rieju indicated that official pricing for both the standard Aventura Rally 307 and the 307R package will be announced soon.

A Rally-Bred Machine

The Rally 307 isn’t just styled like a rally bike—its development was forged in extreme environments before it ever reached assembly line status. Prior to production sign-off, Castellà personally piloted early prototypes through extreme desert conditions across Morocco, Mauritania, and Senegal, an expedition that yielded 127 specific design refinements directly integrated into the final showroom spec.

Castellà further validated the chassis by completing the Rallye du Maroc, a round of the World Rally-Raid Championship, and securing the 2026 Italian Motorally Vice-Champion title against larger-displacement machinery.

By putting the bike’s lead development engineer in the saddle for thousands of competitive Dakar kilometers, Castellà’s machine will retain the production Rally 307’s frame, engine architecture, and suspension design alongside mandatory rally-raid navigation towers and safety gear, effectively treating the toughest race on Earth as a live laboratory to refine future production components for riders everywhere.
